  1. Houston TD. 38-28 w/ 6:44 to go in the 4th. They aren't backing down. Their QB Postma is impressive. Same with their running game.
  2. I agree with you for all the reasons you stated. A 5-2 Houston team is definitely a lot easier to get excited for.
  3. The Gramatica bros, Alvarado, Bonani, Kloss, Nadelman. USF really has been blessed with great K after great K. Would love to see Emilio get some real love for the Groza.
  4. If we're using last year's results to boost this year's team then let me ask you this. Don't you think last year's game vs FSU is the kind of big game the 2007 squad would win? As great as Q has been what are his signature wins? #22 Navy and #21 Temple both at home and a .500 SEC team?
  5. 2007 team was battle tested and proved they could win big games. 2017 team hasn't played anybody noteworthy yet. Q is probably the best player to suit up for the Bulls but I don't believe there was a better competitor than Grothe. If i was a betting man id lean 2007.
  6. Hopefully we get a little hint of fall weather by then.
  7. It's an understatement to say it's a long shot for the Bulls to make the playoffs. It is within the realm of possibility though. Why not root for it as long as we can? It's fun to dream.
  8. Personally I want UCF and Michigan to win. I really want that undefeated black Friday match up. Those kind of games are what make rivalries special. And as far as Michigan goes.. Even if they beat PSU I don't see them winning out. I want there to be as few undefeateds, and then one loss teams, as possible. Our playoff hopes are slim but until there's absolutely no chance I'll be rooting for chaos at every turn.
  9. Grothe was a competitor and didn't a crap. Loved that 2007 team.
  10. Driving into the stadium 2001 Odyssey's billboard said "Welcome UMASS fans"
  11. I think our playoff chances if we run the table just got a little bump from 5%. Chaos! Anarchy!
  12. I enjoy winning first and foremost. The better the opponent the sweeter the victory. Although in rivalry games, like I consider Cinci to be, I don't think it matters as much. Bragging rights are fun no matter the records.
  13. Remember when we were spoiled with Auman? Those were the days..
  14. 6 ranked teams lost. I predict we move up one spot to 17th in the AP. Only 13 unbeatens remain. 3 of them are in the AAC.
  15. Add two from the trio of Boise, SDSU & AF to make a legitimate run at a P6. ONLY if it's before the next tv deal though. Move Navy to the east in that situation. Long term we have to put ourselves in the best position for the next round of conference realignment.
  16. Personally, mine was the transition era. Beating UConn for our first 1-A win in 2000. Taking out Pitt on the road in 2001 for our first signature 1-A win. And then beating our first ranked team (BGSU) in 2002. Exciting time. Marquel Blackwell, Hugh Smith, DeAndrew Rubin, Huey Whittacker, etc. I remember feeling like we actually belonged more and more after each of those victories. Of course the Big East era, CWT, & now CCS eras have all had their great moments as well
  17. Man... we are good! That was another ugly game but we still won by 30. Our D is better than that and they showed it in the 2nd half. A lot of good to take away from this.
  18. He definitely crossed the goal line easily. A delay of game was badly missed though.
  19. I'd personally like to see UCF win. There can be no bigger game on our schedule than a undefeated match up between USF and UCF. I think that game grabs the nation's attention a hell of a lot more than a potential game vs a undefeated Memphis. And even if Memphis gets past UCF they still have Navy and road games vs Houston and Tulsa. I just don't see them running the table. The west is almost surely going to produce a 10-11 win team that is ranked. So beating a potentially undefeated UCF and then another good team to win the conference is the kind of stamp on the end of the season that will get us to a NY6 game.
