  1. Wonderful about the progress. The human body truly is amazing in how much damage it can take but still be fragile. I'm sure that not only you and your wife but also your son will all have new perspectives on what is most important in life. Best wishes to your family and may God bless you all. Go Bulls!
  2. If you watched our first FSU game you would have thought that USF would have several Big East championships and a potential Heisman winner by now. Thank goodness it looks like BJ has a job in the pros, but for USF it hasn't panned out so well. Go Bulls!
  3. Holtz was an afraid of losing coach who brought us down on a continuing spiral to below mediocrity. That's hard for me to even write. I would have fired him last year at half time of the Miami game when he failed to even try to keep us in a fairly close game. Those athletes on the field and the fans who support the program deserve better than that. I think Leavitt was screwed and I continue to root for him as he coaches in the pros. He'll always be the father of USF football in my opinion. It's funny how all these guys pop up with very low post counts and make negative messages. Are you guys on here already with a different acount and you want to stir the pot a bit? I don't know and have never met Coach Willie T, but I do think he is dedicated and will work his tail off to make USF the best team that he can. I for one think that he will succeed beyond many of our expectations and that USF will be looked to as a premier program. I'm willing to give him the chance with my money as I continue to donate and buy my season tickets. Go Bulls!
  4. Like most everyone else I was sickened by what happened yesterday, but now is where we can see just what kind of a team and coach we have. This was the first game. I look at it as ground zero, the starting point of what we have become. The season still has time for redemption. I am sure that coach T and his entire staff have been hard at work trying to make sure a similar result doesn't happen in the future. Now they know from actual game situation more of what we have and the job needed to fix it. I don't expect a win at Michigan State, but I do expect to see an entirely different attitude among the players. I don't bet on sports but I would pick USF or the under on next week's game if there is a gigantic spread in State's favor. Go Bulls!
  5. In the 1970s the best marching band in the world was in little Largo, FL. The Band of Gold was run by Robert Cotter and Joe Donahey and they earned their recognition with hours after hours of practice and hard work. They competed with the best internationally and came home world champions. Go Bulls!
  6. WVU behind William and Mary 17-7 at the half. Go Bulls!
  7. I can't believe it would be hard to smuggle anything into the stadium. Just pass it through the fence to somebody who is already on the inside. Most rules for security at airports, stadiums, etc are made for people who don't have any evil intent. There are always ways to circumvent the rules if you are intent on doing so. Go Bulls!
  8. He continues to shine. http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Daniels-Looks-Like-49ers-No-3-QB-221751061.html Go Bulls!
  9. It says discount on a concession gift certificate. Do you buy that from USF or from the TSA? Anyway, if it was promised it should be given. Go Bulls!
  10. They probably had a deal with McCoy that he would be number 2 if he would take the minimum salary this year. I too am happy for BJ that such a classy team player will have an NFL career. Go Bulls!
  11. I'll be rooting for BJ Cunningham tonight. (from the article above). Go Bulls!
  12. I'm not on facebook, but I like "The Roundup", "Trail of Glory", "The Walk of Champions", and "Assembling the Herd". Go Bulls!
  13. That sounds bogus. Where are you going to find 8-12 independents? I don't even think that there are that many. Go Bulls!
  14. A multi use stadium is a compromise that would not satisfy either tenant. The pro teams want palaces designed for them including the best of everything taylored specifically for their use. They really don't even want to share it with anybody else. College football stadiums should offer close to the field seating, a complete bowl, and they should focus more on the game and less on other entertainment/mingling activities. Go Bulls!
  15. The common perception is that West Virginia was dominating their last few years in the Big East, but that's not true. They dominated (except against us) during the White/Slaton years, but for quite a while the Big East was a toss up between a bunch of teams, most years with co-champions. You could make a claim that Cinci has been the most dominating in the last 5 years. Go Bulls!
  16. Can't you just get a clear one and then add a Bulls sticker to it? Go Bulls!
  17. I think the B1G would love to add a Florida school, but we would be a long shot. It is true that Judy has advanced us into a Carnegie Foundation Top Research University, and we have a published goal of working hard to attain AAU membership. UF won't leave the SEC or it would be the obvious choice. FSU and Miami are probably locked in to the ACC. Does that mean the B1G will not go into florida for now? Probably, but who knows? If they do want to add a school in Florida, it could be interesting. I think of all the NCAA conference juggling that has gone on, Rutgers has made out better than anybody. Go Bulls!
  18. How can you guys not see that Floyd can be a very good QB? Work in practice will stop the snap fumbling. Somebody else may win out, but I would not be unhappy with Floyd as our starter. As for only a 51% completion ratio, he was sort of thrown into the fire due to injury. What was Joe Montana's first year at Notre Dame like? I think we will be fine at QB. Coach Willie knows the qb position and one of the guys we have should step up enough for him to be the choice. Go Bulls!
  19. I don't want Louisville playing for any championship. I want us to give them a beat down. Go Bulls!
  20. NPR had an interesting story on current cable charges today. ESPN is for most systems more expensive by far than any of the other channels, costing around $5.50 a month for every cable subscriber, whether they watch it or not. By comparison, CNN is 60 cents. They mention FOX starting a sports network at about 80 cents per subscriber, and say if it is popular that the price will probably escalate quickly in coming years. That is why FOX can muscle its way with conference choices. I think the whole thing may come crashing down with the coming move away from cable and more to individual packaging of video channels. http://www.npr.org/2013/08/07/209820647/the-history-and-future-of-cables-bundling Go Bulls!
  21. You know, we should have just named the conference the P5 conference instead of the AAC. Then we would not only be in a P5 conference, but THE P5 Conference. Go Bulls! power conference over on campus stadium any day. We want to play the best.
  22. I could see the B1G trying to get into Florida. We aren't AAU yet, so strange as it may seem, the most likely choice for them would probably be Miami. Go Bulls!
