  1. Got mine in today's mail with a letter from Veit, but no mention of the "Event". Wasn't there going to be a band, kids activities, etc. in addition to the game and select-a-seat?
  2. Here you go MP. http://www.mobileringtones.com/ringtones/fight+song/south+florida+bulls/south+florida+fight+song/
  3. I think single tickets have gone on sale during July in the past.
  4. Kind of odd they made their last home game both Homecoming and Senior Day. I've never heard of that before. They had opportunities for Homecoming against Cincy or Rutgers in earlier games.
  5. Yeah, but a good team is going to beat bad OOC teams anyhow so it really wouldn't affect SOS. Maybe here is a sample 12 game schedule with playing 1 BE team twice. Home 1 AA (or CUSA when home) 1 OOC (NC, Miami) 4 BE Away 1 CUSA (or 1A Payday when CUSA home) 1 OOC (NC, Miami) 4 BE We always have 6 home games, possiblilty of revenge BE game, and option to still take paydays without return.
  6. I hate to say this, but is there an ncaa rule against playing the same team twice in the regular season? Maybe, we could take a page from the NFL and play 1 or 2 teams in conference home and away in the same season. These "mirror" games (using BE lingo) could rotate evey year. It would be an easy way to fill out the schedule for conferences without 12 teams and a championship game. Also, it would be kind of cool to be able to get revenge on a conference team in the same season. Is this totally off the wall?
  7. Not much choice when you only have 1 home game during the usual 6 week period when homecomings are held.
  8. No respect even discounting for the home court advantage.
  9. Every time the announcers mention McCullum, the camera just pans around the USF coaches. I don't think they know which one he is!
  10. Yep, there it is right on their home page. This is great! A big thank you to the sponsors of our Spring game! http://www.catch47.com/
  11. How are you guys even getting to the buy button? Are you going to a certain channel or menu item or what? I can't find anything that displays the offer to even choose the buy button. This is driving me nuts.
  12. HELP!! I called Brighthouse and they told me you could not just buy the one day package offered by ESPN Full Court per BH's contract with ESPN. He said Brighthouse can only turn it on for you if they charge you for the full season. Were you really able to get it just for the day or partial season?
  13. This article was just posted that said the Bulls game will be on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), whatever the h that is. Does this mean it could be picked up locally by FSN, Sunshine, some other local, or even Brighthouse 47? Anybody know? http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/stories/030705aet.html
  14. Also, UF has a bye on 10/22. That alone could bring out an additional 1,000 local college football fans (even though they will all have on their blue and orange) who want to get their live game fix for the day.
  15. I think WVU will surprise.  They are a real "name team" and  travel extremely well, especially to Florida.  Shoot, they drew 32,000 at UCF last year and that was in September.  I think your other games are close, but I would say at least 40,000 for WVU. I just found my post from a similar thread a couple months ago:
  16. The Bucs have not released their schedule yet. You may be looking at 2004.
  17. Here is what I would do knowing what I know about our beloved town. I am sure others would disagree with me. Stay at a hotel in Ybor City. You will end up there on Friday and Saturday night anyhow - trust me. The only 2 hotels there are both new - Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn Suites. This way you can easily stumble back to your hotel from the bars when they close at 3am both nights. Take a taxi from Ybor to the game. That way, after the game you can easily cab it back to Ybor (since you will end up there anyhow) and not worry about a DUI. Take a disposable cooler filled with your beverage of choice in the cab to the game. Arrive at the stadium 3-5 hours before the game and you will be able to find a tailgate to join either with Mountaineers or Bulls. Yes, beer is sold at the stadium at NFL prices like $8 for 24 oz. Also, liquor is available in the Club lounges if you can snag a ticket with club access. No need to go to campus or downtown. Maybe head to the beaches one day. The campus is not in a college town area at all. Bars are in shopping centers that you have to drive between so you can't walk from bar to bar without taking your life in your hands on 4 and 6 lane highways. Not a whole lot to do downtown except for Channelside which is a small, bit of an upscale bar and restaurant area. You can always take the streetcar there from Ybor City to check it out and see if it is for you. The adult establishments are located in the stadium area. There are a few to choose from. Hope this helps. Welcome to town - it should be a great October evening in Tampa.
  18. We are getting killed on the boards and shooting under 30% - what up with that?
  19. This is awesome. A night game, locally televised and the BE folks there. Marketing must grab this now and promote it as not only the game and select-a-seat night but a big party/celebration of entering the BE. I for one would suggest free beer (yeah right) and the first 5,000 fans get some USF logo item as a Brighthouse give away (ralley towel, hat, cheap t shirt, whatever).
  20. UCF only has 4 home games this year. I am thinking there has to be 5,000 to 8,000 core fans and students that will make the trip just so they can see the team live at the beginning of the season.
