  1. That's hilarious - always one series behind for the opponent!
  2. ES, if we drive down separate, might there still be a package that includes hotel or at least bus from hotel to game/tailgate and back so we can park our car at the hotel?
  3. I love the Florida/ECU Pirate at the live stats site: http://131.247.89.124/usfsid/baseball/xlive.htm
  4. We either bring in a 1AA for a home game or take a payday for an away game, unless DW has a 1 for 1 up his sleeve with the first game being in 2006.
  5. With this new wording in the legislation, I think all schools will now have to report distributed tickets (paid number and comp number) plus actual attendance so the NCAA has everything they need for future calculations. Should be interesting to see all these figures for every game of every school.
  6. The UM season tickets on sale now in the type of section where the visitor seating is are selling for $277 - that's about $47 per game if they don't give a discount to season ticket holders.
  7. I find it interesting that they have the third level ready for sale when necessary. In the past on Ticketmaster, the third level never appeared as a location choice or in the pricing. It is there in both places for this game, but you just can't buy it yet. The pricing is both $20 and $24 so there is even a plan to charge for different sections up there. I think this is great news.
  8. Last year, the only ooc game on a Saturday was LA Tech.  The game started at 1:00 and drew 53,000.  In 2003, the East Carolina game was moved to 7:00 because it was picked up by espn2. I think the game will start at 1:00 unless espn wants it for a night game on the deuce or espnu.  As we know, espn can change game times up to about a month out.  I wouldn't buy those braves/fish tickets just yet.
  9. 1-2. Football, MBB 3. WBB 4-5. Volleyball, Softball 6. Men's Soccer 7. Baseball Don't even look at the scores of anything else.
  10. Being the first time the Bulls will ever walk on to a field with over 100,000 opposing fans, I fear they will have a lot of jitters and crap going on in their heads to put together a consistent first game of the season. On the other hand, I really hope it has the opposite effect and pumps them up to pull out what would be a major upset.
  11. Buildings like the Forum are the reason I hate pro basketball live. The fans are so far removed from the game that it provides absolutely no home court advantage. The Sun Dome is a fabulous college bball atmosphere when more than 5,000 show up. This coming year will be the first time in probably 4-5 years that we should be able to consistently draw 5,000 to conference games instead of 2 or 3,000. The glory days of the Dome are about to return. Don't screw it up by moving games away from campus.
  12. Why upgrade the dome if you are going to play the games that have a potential to sell out at another venue? The dome is a way better atmosphere for college ball than a cavernous pro arena. It's crazy we have all these discussions about the advantages of an on-campus stadium and then there is a chance of moving basketball games off campus.
  13. I agree it was a practice game, but was a bit disappointed in the event aspect because of the expectation set with this quote. The in-game experience on Saturday night was the Jr. Bulls blow-up thing, the same animation/music as the last 3 years and Porter reciting the same lines. I hope that is not what "taking our in-game experience to a new level in 2005" is all about.
  14. I agree - around 8:00 it looked like the first level was about 1/2 full and the club seats about 1/4 full. I thought it would come in at least 5,000. Folks around me were talking about how surprised they were at such a good turnout.
  15. I really don't understand why they are messing with tradition and an established asset in the old logo.  If the league has the extra dough sitting around to consider unwarranted projects like this, just pass the dollars out to the members. If you see Mike T. at RJ on Saturday, tell him please don't mess with the logo.
  16. The Bucs schedule has been released and they only play at home the same weekend as the Bulls one time. Should allow us to be more creative with painting the field.
  17. It is the same lettering as CUSA and looks awful. I never liked that futuristic lettering anyhow. Just keep the old logo for tradition's sake. The BE logo is very recognizable and has a lot of goodwill value. Why trash it?
  18. Don't want to be negative, but... Have we heard if anything else is happening at the "event" besides just the game? There is no mention of the game on the front page of gousfbulls.com - it is not even listed in the upcoming events section.
  19. RJW, that's a no brainer with a legal age of 18 in the UK. In the late 70's, the Empty Keg was a great gathering spot - decent live bands and cheap beer. I think it moved downstairs when the drinking age was changed to 21 in 1985. It's probably hard to maintain a good bar crowd on a campus where half the students (I think) are under 21.
  20. What happened to the following? Pre-game tailgating Live music Fall football atmosphere taken to the next level Is any of this still planned?
  21. Got mine in today's mail with a letter from Veit, but no mention of the "Event". Wasn't there going to be a band, kids activities, etc. in addition to the game and select-a-seat?
  22. Here you go MP. http://www.mobileringtones.com/ringtones/fight+song/south+florida+bulls/south+florida+fight+song/
  23. I think single tickets have gone on sale during July in the past.
  24. Kind of odd they made their last home game both Homecoming and Senior Day. I've never heard of that before. They had opportunities for Homecoming against Cincy or Rutgers in earlier games.
  25. Yeah, but a good team is going to beat bad OOC teams anyhow so it really wouldn't affect SOS. Maybe here is a sample 12 game schedule with playing 1 BE team twice. Home 1 AA (or CUSA when home) 1 OOC (NC, Miami) 4 BE Away 1 CUSA (or 1A Payday when CUSA home) 1 OOC (NC, Miami) 4 BE We always have 6 home games, possiblilty of revenge BE game, and option to still take paydays without return.
