  1. With no Bucs game following McNeese, will the endzones be painted with BULLS and will RayJay be a bit more USF friendly?
  2. I knew this would turn into a UCF thread somehow!
  3. Rut Roh! - Looks like parking is going from $7 to $10 this year and TSA still says lots open only 3 hours prior to USF games. http://www.tampasportsauthority.com/rjs/parking.htm
  4. TX, I love the optimism, but let's get real comparing this year to last. In terms of drawing the casual fan and opponents fans.... McNeese is no FAMU FIU is no UCF Rutgers/UConn are not UL Syracuse is far from WVU I hope you're right. Jim - you beat me to it.
  5. Okay, a little fun.... Predict the attendance for each home game (with rationale) now and let's see who came closest at the end of the year. Here goes mine... McNeese - 29,000 (Gut feel for opener against 1AA) FIU - 26,000 (Casual fans drop off second week against another no-name opponent) Rutgers - 29,000 (May be best home game of the season but Friday night kills what would be a great Saturday crowd) UConn - 35,000 if 7pm - 26,000 if 12noon (Noon start just sucks for USF crowds) Pitt - 32,000 (Noon start again kills what would be a great night homecoming crowd probably near 45,000) 'Cuse - 42,000 if 7pm - 28,000 if 12noon (Last home game draws big crowd with Bulls in BE/major bowl race, yet noon start again kills the Tampa casual fans)
  6. ...and I would argue the "60 Watts" should be in green letters instead of black.
  7. Not that I advocate it or anything...but I have never seen any cops or arrests in the South lots. The cops would have had a field day with the UCF drinkers last year, but none were in sight. Also, twice last year I pulled in next to 19 and 20 year olds (with a case of beer) who said they park in the South lots on purpose because they don't get hassled.
  8. Since there are no odds on 1AA games, the best we have to go with is Harmon and Sagarin... Harmon has USF -20 (28 to 8) Sagarin has USF -17 (Pre-season ratings) What do you gamers think? BTW, Sagarin would have it USF -22.5 vs. FIU (McNeese rated higher).
  9. That's very cool. I love the green seats at RayJay - as it should be!
  10. Just bought the SI college preview - predictions: USF 4th in BE - 4-3/7-5 (WV, UL, RUT, USF, Pitt, UConn, UC, SYR) Pre-season ranking - #50 Bowl projection - Birmingham vs. Southern Miss Can't miss game - Rutgers at USF
  11. As of January 8, 2007 you must have a passport to visit Canada/Mexico/Bahamas and to return to the US. I'd get one because if you get delayed after the game, you might be returning on the 8th.
  12. I thought it was a very classy move at Army when their band came over to the USF section before the game and played the USF fight song. Do any other schools do this?
  13. I think WVU at noon is a big advantage for the Bulls - much better than a night game in Morgantown for the visitors.
  14. 1. Cut down on the piped in music - more HOT. 2. Open the south lots 5 hours before kickoff. 3. No more McDonalds first downs - find another way to satisfy their sponsorship. 4. The team busses should arrive in the south lots down by the Yankees fields and walk as a team up the middle sidewalk through all the tailgators lined up - a sort of "BULL WALK". How early does the team arrive anyways?
  15. Bulls 28, McNeese 8. In the past, Harmon has been pretty accurate. http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/8820391
  16. I got the front row of 104 in the corner next to the tunnel on the pre-sale day for $25 - hope they are decent seats. I would think this will sell pretty well with Tampa Nole fans invloved and FSU students home during the holidays. Which game is first?
  17. Awesome - watched it twice in a row. I never heard the story about having no tee at the first game and kind of weird that the Board of Regents approved USF football in the UCF garage.
  18. No scanner. They look similar to last year - nice. Also includes the 10 year DVD.
  19. This is ridiculous. If they must go with words instead of letter designations, why not keep it simple like the Bowl Division and the Playoff Division. How can they call 1AA teams the Championship Subdivision when the other subdivision has a bowl called the national championship?
  20. I know it is way too early for these projections, but check it out. Gotta get back to Tampa Friday morning for the B-Ball game at the Forum. http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2006/Bowls/Bowl_Projections.htm
  21. I've been to a couple UCF games in the past 2 years. I know that one visitor section is 108. These may be player/team type tickets as both times I bought tickets in 108 for $5 from someone outside the stadium with a handfull and they were actually comp tickets. Both times I was surrounded by visiting team fans that appeared to be player families and friends. Maybe one of our friends to the east can tell us where the visitor allocation normally is. http://www.teamonetickets.com/seating-chart/citrus-bowl-map.html
  22. So I'm in Lowes today (in Tampa) waiting at the register and I notice the NCAA gift cards they have - FSU, UF, UM and UCF?? No USF in sight. WTF - I understand the 3 being there, but why would they market the UCF card in Tampa and not have a USF card?
  23. How long is the requirement to play a CUSA team every year? If still required and we don't sign UCF for '07 and '08, who do we go after?
