    Now I'm really confused. Watching the Fresno-Nevada game.... Guy catches a pass makes the first down and runs out of bounds. The game clock does not start with play clock which I thought the rule was when you made a first down even if you go out of bounds. Does anyone understand this?

    Wasn't really a factor in the outcome of any game last night. I think to calm everyone's fears, they should just institute the old rules during the last 2 or 3 minutes of each half.

    Is this a set weekly press conference or was it called for a special purpose? Either way, the team works too hard and the fans care too much about growing the program for CJL to act in this manner in a public forum. Sorry, but it was the totally wrong thing to do. If DW knew CJL was not going to participate in the proper fashion, they should have cancelled and just issued a statement as a professional courtesy to the reporters.

    I image WFTS will get a flood of calls from angry ND fans now that want to see their game in HD. Hope not, but may be another flip-flop tomorrow.

    Someone said SG bought student tickets in the endzone (120, 121?) - that would put the USF students right next to the UCF students - sounds like a recipe for disaster.

    If FIU gets up to MTSU for their game on Thursday, will it be televised in Tampa? I know I've seen them before on Sunshine or Fox.

    Latest track still has us getting the backside of the weather on Friday.  If they decide not to play on Saturday, I guess Sunday and Monday are viable options.

    If the game is cancelled, it looks like it would be impossible to reschedule. The only possible date would be December 2nd and McNeese will probably be in the playoffs that weekend. 11 game season?

    Question... With the BCS conferences, it's only possible for the Big 10 to have more than one undefeated team - correct? All other conferences have all teams playing each other or a championship game.

    I sent it in through the "report a bug" link.  They changed it on the results list but not on the hover over the iconic U.

    Yeah, you're probably right. At least the endzones should be a blank slate since the Bucs paint will be 2 weeks old and should be cut off with the mowers.

    With no Bucs game following McNeese, will the endzones be painted with BULLS and will RayJay be a bit more USF friendly?

    TX, I love the optimism, but let's get real comparing this year to last. In terms of drawing the casual fan and opponents fans.... McNeese is no FAMU FIU is no UCF Rutgers/UConn are not UL Syracuse is far from WVU I hope you're right. Jim - you beat me to it.

    Okay, a little fun.... Predict the attendance for each home game (with rationale) now and let's see who came closest at the end of the year. Here goes mine... McNeese - 29,000 (Gut feel for opener against 1AA) FIU - 26,000 (Casual fans drop off second week against another no-name opponent) Rutgers - 29,000 (May be best home game of the season but Friday night kills what would be a great Saturday crowd) UConn - 35,000 if 7pm - 26,000 if 12noon (Noon start just sucks for USF crowds) Pitt - 32,000 (Noon start again kills what would be a great night homecoming crowd probably near 45,000) 'Cuse - 42,000 if 7pm - 28,000 if 12noon (Last home game draws big crowd with Bulls in BE/major bowl race, yet noon start again kills the Tampa casual fans)

    Not that I advocate it or anything...but I have never seen any cops or arrests in the South lots. The cops would have had a field day with the UCF drinkers last year, but none were in sight. Also, twice last year I pulled in next to 19 and 20 year olds (with a case of beer) who said they park in the South lots on purpose because they don't get hassled.

    Since there are no odds on 1AA games, the best we have to go with is Harmon and Sagarin... Harmon has USF -20 (28 to 8) Sagarin has USF -17 (Pre-season ratings) What do you gamers think? BTW, Sagarin would have it USF -22.5 vs. FIU (McNeese rated higher).

    As of January 8, 2007 you must have a passport to visit Canada/Mexico/Bahamas and to return to the US. I'd get one because if you get delayed after the game, you might be returning on the 8th.
