    I don't think you fire CKE, but moving him to a "front office" position would be the better way to go.

    Strength of schedule factors in who makes the playoffs. I don't mind a weaker schedule so that we start achieving a modicum of success and then use that inertia to upgrade the schedule as we improve. Let's enjoy the wins.

    I was speaking with someone at the basketball game last night who had a friend whose daughter plays travel ball and, supposedly, a very good player. The friend said they were going to look at UCF as a place to play. When asked why not USF, the dad said that they did but that CKE didn't even bother to meet with them despite him being at the facility. He has no real social media presence, which I would think would be a must nowadays. I supposed he expects his being the national team coach is enough to make great players flock here.

    Maybe we're the 4th/5th best team in the state because we have THIS head coach of the US team on the bench.

    I agree that we have had consistently winning seasons, but nothing consistently remarkable. I know this might not be a popular opinion, but I've never understood why we've never been a softball powerhouse, given CKE's access to top talent as the WNT coach during his tenure there. We'll talk statue when he's gotten to the CWS consistently and maybe won a few natties. We are currently sitting at 2-4, with the only relatively notable win against a team receiving votes (Michigan) in games played entirely on our home field.

    For those who didn't notice, Maria Alvarez was kept out of the game because of concussion protocol. Apparently, she and Sammie collided in practice. MRI was negative and she should be good for the next game.
