  1. 2003 C-USA 1st year - 30,512 2004 C-USA 2nd year - 27,060 2005 BE 1st year - 38,865 Oops, used an old version of my notes with the old running total
  2. According to the Tampa Trib game notes, he had an ankle injury at UConn, so he sat out. http://bulls.tbo.com/bulls/MGBQECFVSGE.html
  3. The radio was harping on Hill staring down receivers. So while the WR are tied to the jugs machine, you have to do something similar for Hill. Kizarvexis
  4. So, is the glass half full or half empty? I'm thinking half full myself.
  5. The Bulls aren't rated, so I agree. I think they were still thinking of the "Oh wow, look what might happen" stuff from before the UConn game.
  6. I think they have a geometric or logarithmic timeline for USF, not realizing that as USF moves up in the ranks, the competition gets better and better and it gets harder and harder for USF to get better and better quickly. Breaking into the big name team league is a catch-22. To win big, you need the big players, but to get the big players you have to win big. The seniors on this team were recuited when USF was in it's last year of I-AA and making the transition to I-A. Some, like Royals, played in 2000 in USF's last year in I-AA. Rome wasn't built in a day and USF becoming a player on the national scene will take time. Be patient. Heck, USF as a football team, is still learning to walk. Kizarvexis
  7. Maybe because you didn't write the script? I wish and wish USF had won at UConn and vs WVU too... but it didn't happen. If wishes were horses, we'd all ride. USF didn't win the BE, but made progress in the whole scheme of things. Small steps, but steps forward none the less. Kizarvexis
  8. $90 for the family, plus travel. I'm looking for a windfall before Christmas.
  9. Ever heard the term "Rome wasn't built in a day?" If not, go look it up. If so, well go look it up again, because based on your posts, I don't think you got the concept. Kizarvexis
  10. You're comparing The Conference of Notre Dame, who has been playing football for 116 years and started in 1887! - to 9 year old USF? What? Are you nuts?!? You can't compare USF to the big name schools, because the big name schools all have been playing for DECADES! This is USF's first decade and they are in the Big East and playing in a Dec 31st Bowl after just 9, NINE years of football. Only 5 of it in I-A and 3 in a conference! Get over yourself and your UF/FSU/UM expectations and enjoy the heights USF has achieved in 9 short years. Kizarvexis
  11. The radio announcers were predicting Clemson or NC State, IIRC.
  12. The radio announcers were predicting Clemson or NC State, IIRC. Kizarvexis
  13. USF was just offered the Meinke Car Care Bowl and accepted. Wow! 9th season and finally going to a bowl. A Dec 31st bowl too. Kizarvexis
  14. 38,865 average for the season at home makes this the best home average. 45,274 makes this game the Best RJS game, Best BE home game, and the Best Homecoming game. 50,386 average for the away games is the best away average as well. 194,325 is the second most home total for attendance behind the first season 231,271 Kizarvexis
  15. Somehow, I don't think the rest of the nation agrees with Senator Specter. TO made his bed and now he has to lie in it. Kizarvexis
  16. Instead of wishing for a magic wand, shouldn't the coaching staff be planning ahead for replacements and depth?
  17. If the Times is right, then Carothers didn't see time at center during those blowouts. Yep, and USF played like poop. Just trying to learn more about why USF played like poop than "It was cold". If you don't ask and learn, then you are just a couch potato.  ;D Yep, he did return at guard according to the Times and replaced Walker who must have moved back to right tackle. But why all the shifting in the first place? Why not just plug the gaps, or is the USF line depth too thin to do that? What happens next year when the center and guards all have to be replaced? Looks like we may have two centers in the wings, but what about the guards?
  18. Here is the starting line before the injuries. (Got the stats from GoUSFBulls.com) 55 Watson, Theodric Jr.  OT  6-04  300  68 Davis, Frank Sr.  OG  6-04  310 61 Miller, John Sr.  OC  6-00  275 74 Carothers, Chris Sr.  OG  6-03  300  75 Walker, Walter So.  OG  6-05  295 Here are the two backups inserted after the line was shifted around after injuries. 71 Huners, Matt Fr.  OG  6-03  290  78 Dile, Mark So.  OT  6-04  275 My guess is Nick couldn't bulk up, so would that be why he was moved to TE? 69 Capogna, Nick So.  OC  6-03  255 I'm guessing these three are redshirting. 62 Fox, Jason Fr.  OC  6-00  255 67 Tolley, Danny Fr.  OT  6-06  300  77 Griffin, Jake Fr.  OC  6-04  300 So that leaves just two more backups? 70 Carnes, Jared So.  OT  6-07  285  72 Springfield, Jerome So.  OT  6-08  320 Is it normal for a college football team to go into a season with only 9 linemen? I know the pros have a 53 man limit, but doesn't I-A have an 85 scholarship limit?
  19. Due to injuries on Saturday, the Bulls were playing with a new offensive line. Center John Miller hurt his arm early in the game, so Chris Carothers moved over to his first action at center. Don't we have a backup center? Right tackle Walter Walker shifted to right guard to replace Carothers. Don't we have a backup guard? Left tackle Thed Watson didn't start with a hurt ankle, so USF shifted left guard Frank Davis for his first start at left tackle. Don't we have a backup left tackle? Oh look, we do have some backup linemen. Redshirt freshman Matt Huners got his first start at left guard when Davis moved to his first start at left tackle. Redshirt freshman Marc Dile took over at right tackle, when Walker moved to right guard. Guess who showed up at TE? Clearwater's Nick Capogna , a center who normally wears No.69, wore 44 and saw his first action at tight end. What I want to know, is why didn't the coaches just plug in the backup at the needed position, instead of shifting the line all around. Especially the center to Carothers who the St. Pete Times says had his first action at center?!? Anyone? Anyone?
  20. The Bulls had thier chances and blew it themselves. No conspiracy needed. Kizarvexis
  21. 10 for 78 for USF and 7 for 62 for UConn Kizarvexis Well, (9.78 for 78.11 and 7.33 for 61.67)
  22. Aren't they expected to be there for the last two games in March?
