USF lost 13-41 to Elon in Elon, NC on Oct, 11th, 1997 in front of 4,692 fans. It was USF's third road game and sixth game overall. It was also USF's third road loss. The first road win was a month later on Nov, 8th at Cumberland in Lebanon, TN. USF won 44-0 in front of a USF record low crowd of 1,001 fans. Kizarvexis

The Bucs play the following teams next year. Saints Panthers Falcons Ravens Bengals Eagles Redskins @Saints @Panthers @Falcons @Browns @Steelers @Cowboys @Giants They also play the NFC North at home and at the NFC West. If the Bucs finish 2nd in the division, then they should play the Minnesota Vikings at home (unless the Bears blow up) and either @St. Louis or @Arizona, depending on which ends the season in second. If the Bucs somehow catch the Panthers and finish in first in the South, then they should play the Bears at home (unless they tank and the Vikings win out) and at Seattle. If the Bucs blow up and finish in third place, then they play either Detroit or Green Bay and at either Arizona, St. Louis or maybe even San Fran if 'Zona tanks and SF gets it together. Kizarvexis

Nope. UF doesn't want to travel for OOC, if they don't have to.

They'll probably do something like they did for the last 12 game season. If a slot opens for a bowl game, a 7-5 team must be picked over a 6-6 team. But that left conferences with many bowl tie-ins lots of slots for their 6-6 teams. A better rule would be a 6-6 team can only go to a bowl if there are no 7 win or better teams available, no matter which conference has the bowl tie-in. Kizarvexis

I don't have the standings for USF as compared to all of I-A nor do I have any special insight into the coaching staff. But here are the stats for the year for USF since 2001. Here are the last 5 seasons for comparison, average per game. 2005 - 9.3 for 73.7 yds per game (doesn't include bowl game) 2004 - 9.6 for 82.5 yds per game 2003 - 9.4 for 83 yds per game 2002 - 11.6 for 98.7 yds per game (school record) 2001 - 10 for 88 yds per game So, the penalties per game are staying about the same, but the yards per game are trending down. I think this reflects less of the stupid personal foul penalties than in the past. USF had 8 penalties for 62 yards. UConn had 7 for 48 yards. Average so far for the season, including the UConn game. 9.70 for 77.60 yards per game for USF (Down .5 yds per game) 7.30 for 60.30 yards per game for our opponents (Down 1.5 yds per game) USF is comparable to the last two seasons in the penalty department.
