  1. I'd be surprised if it was.  The field at the new University of Phoenix Stadium is real grass, it rolls in and out of the stadium.  I doubt they would paint an entire side of the the field.  We'll know in a few days. university of phoenix? you mean Arizona Cardinals. The Arizona Cardinals play in University of Phoenix Stadium. That's what it's called. Actually, the Cards used to play at "Sun Devil" stadium but they have their own field now http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Phoenix_Stadium Kizarvexis
  2. I'm in the chat room that is listed under community in the top left of this page.
  3. http://www.whnz.com/pages/listenlive.html USF radio for Wake game
  4. The spring game has a ways to go before it becomes a rivalry.  ;D Oops.  :-[ LOL.  ;D I fixed it.  ;D
  5. How's this for a revised 2006 list? 1. At #7 W. Virginia 2006, highest ranked team beat and 1st win vs ranked team on the road 2. #9/8 Louisville (Ap/Coaches) 2005 1st top ten win 3. ECU 2006 PapaJohns.com Bowl win 4. At N. Carolina, 1st BCS win outside of the BE 5. Bowling Green 2002, #25 coaches poll, 1st ranked win 6. At Pitt 2001, first BCS win 7. U Conn 2000 1st IA win 8. Houston 2001 1st C-USA win 9. Kentucky Wesleyan 1997 The 1st game and the 1st win 10. UCF (both tied for 10) bragging rights Yes, I know we beat ranked teams when we were I-AA, but with the exception of the 1st game, all of the I-A games have been more important. For those who don't like the budding USF/UCF rivalry (I have come over to the rivalry side), just think what it would be like if USF had lost one of those games. Kizarvexis
  6. Bolding added. Rutgers, who has been playing football for 137 years, is still looking for it's first win. Rutgers is the oldest football playing university in the Big East by 18 years, Cincinnati is second at 119 years. Rutgers has only played in 3 previous bowls and this will be their fourth and possibly their first win. USF has been to two bowls in ten years and won the second. This just shows the stellar rise of Bulls football. Kizarvexis Go Bulls! Paste Elon!
  7. When we are not watching BB. How about the board gets together and writes an update for the USF Bulls Football page on Wikipedia. Right now, it is not very long. (I put in some references and updated some numbers awhile back) Here is the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USF_Bulls_football What do y'all think? Kizarvexis
  8. 2002 51-10 over I-AA FAU 37-6 over 8-4 N. Illinois 3-42 to 9-5 SEC runner up Arkansas 14-31 to 12-2 Big 12 Champ #3 Oklahoma 16-13 over 7-6 So Miss 46-30 over 4-8 ECU 56-6 over I-AA Charleston So 31-28 over 3-9 Memphis 29-7 over 9-3 #25 Bowling Green 32-14 over 5-7 Houston 2006 41-10 over I-AA McNeese St 21-20 over 0-12 FIU 24-17 over 4-8 UCF 7-13 to 6-6 Kansas 20-22 to #23 Rutgers 38-16 over 4-8 UConn 37-20 over 3-9 N. Carolina 6-23 to 7-5 Cincinnati 22-12 over #33/34 Pitt 27-10 over 4-8 Syracuse 8-31 to #10/12 Louisville 24-19 over #7 W. Virginia 24-7 over ECU in bowl game '06 looks better than '02 Kizarvexis
  9. If the posters that started OCS threads, donated a dollar every time they started an OCS thread, USF would have an OCS in a decade. Kizarvexis
  10. A hairline fracture is what the TV was saying. Kizarvexis
  11. Outrunner, why go to a game between FIU and an as yet to be determined Sun Belt conference foe and miss out on the USF game at FAU? Kizarvexis
  12. It's also the 16th win vs C-USA. The Bulls have had 10 C-USA losses for a win percentage of 61.5%. Kizarvexis BTW, USF's best win % vs a conference is 75% vs the Sun Belt Conference.
  13. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but the BE dates are not determined yet. Kizarvexis
  14. There is a partial schedule for next year already released. Sep 1st vs Elon (I-AA) Sep 8th vs UCF (C-USA) Sep 15th @Auburn (SEC) Sep 22nd vs N. Carolina (ACC) Sep 29th @FAU (SBC) Oct 6th thru Dec 1st will have the Big East games of... (In no particular order as the conference game dates have not yet been determined as far as I know) vs Cincinnati vs Louisville vs W. Virginia @Pitt @RUtgers @Syracuse @UConn Kizarvexis
  15. 32,023 according to the Tampa Tribune box score. Makes the PapaJohns.com Bowl the worst attended USF bowl games as the Meineke Car Care Bowl last year had 57,937. The Pizza Bowl ranks 21st on the All-Time away list and 36th on the All-Time list. It is the 11th highest C-USA game. Kizarvexis
  16. Too late, ECU fans are already saying that the Bulls D was hitting the ECU QB's late all day. Kizarvexis
  17. Don't you know that having the correct announced attendance and an erector-set on-campus' stadium is the MOST important thing a school can do?!? Kizarvexis
  18. TCU destroyed the Huskies 37-7. N. Illinois had 28 yards rushing and 79 yards passing for a total of 107 yards of offense. Add in the 49 yards of sacks (5) and you have 58 yards of net offense. The Huskies TD was off a punt block returned 30 yards for a TD. TCU had 453 yards of net offense, 200 rushing and 253 passing. The next bowl game is #19/20 BYU vs Oregon. I don't have them listed as I don't think a 10-3 BYU team would be ranked under a 9-4 USF team. The next team on the list is YOUR USF BULLS vs the Purple Pirates of ECU in the Pizza Bowl! Go BULLS! Sink the Pirates! Kizarvexis
  19. TCU 13-0 over the Huskies. The Huskies have -11 yards rushing and 3 yards passing for a total net yardage of -8 for the game. Four straight three and outs for the Huskies. It looks like a miracle may be needed. Kizarvexis p.s. My son has strep throat and he gave me an early Christmas present. I won't make the BB game chat. Night.
  20. TCU (#25/24 in the AP/coaches polls) is up 6-0 on N. Illinois half way through the 1st Q. TCU ran in a 4yd TD and missed the pat. Why does this matter to USF? If USF is to have any slim hope of getting ranked this year, then someone (probably more than a few someones near the bottom of the polls) need to lose in the Top #25. It would also help for teams ahead in the also getting votes category to lose as well. And USF to destroy ECU. So you can see, there is a LOT to hope for. Kizarvexis
  21. That's funny. I thought the Tampa Bay area was the 13th largest market. Kizarvexis
  22. I bullieve Pitt was the first listed in the "others receiving votes" making them #26 in the country. Just another example of how invalid the polls are. They were #33 in the AP (6 votes) and #34 in the coaches poll (9 votes). Kizarvexis
  23. This is why you need an on-campus stadium.  It will bring several more thousand students to the game I would suspect.  Unless there is just apathy from most of the student body.  You will have a huge jump in attendance just from visiting teams that travel well coming to town.  You'll be around 40k again next year. Check out this thread http://www.thebullspen.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/nph-YaBB.pl?num=1160747450 for more info on USF OCS. It has been discussed ad nausem here. Kizarvexis
  24. Yes, the '05 WVU game was the largest RJS crowd. Kizarvexis
