  1. The O line has us all nervous, I am much more comfortable with a more agile QB, BB is athletic but still a big target that is bound to take a beating, needs to figure out how to duck some of these big hits.
  2. I know guys ...a feeble attempt at humor in the off season, appears it fell flat. I did watch, somebody may have gotten killed without the jersey. Just piggybacking on to another wise comment, it appears I need to set it up better going forward.
  3. We had and will have more long debates on this topic, by that calculation all the years the program has been in existence has been a failure, even the years they beat FSU, Auburn, UM, Clemson, WVU, ND etc... I want a Conference championship like everyone else and we are overdue but not a certain failure, However definitely the main goal going into the season.
  4. You probably also remember when you and Naismith had to stop the game to retrieve the ball out of the peach basket after every made shot. The game has evolved a lot in your lifetime, thanks for making us feel young Cousin. A good point that the physicality of the game is responsible making it harder to enforce the rules, don’t see this changing anytime soon.
  5. I could not agree more, I was very encouraged that Barnett, McCloud and the big “O” (aka transfer boy) did not get knocked to the ground once in the spring game. Some people would say the red jersey had something to do with it however I am not so sure, KB is the bomb!
  6. I don’t have the background however not sure why he was in a winless situation. He took a team that was strong and went 8-5 the first year, Led off the next year with a win over ND and proceeded to lose 8 of the last 12 and then 3-9 the last year. They got progressively worse, the talent disappeared, the defense was slow and small. The team was unwatchable, boring, uninspired and appeared there was absolutely no player development. i am not sure if I like CJL more than I hate Skippy. Likable or not he was straight A$$, and his dad was a d-bag as well. He set the program back to a level that at least makes me appreciate the little wins again.
  7. I am thrilled with AD Kelly and what he has done, making the most of what we got. I am not sure what we are arguing about, I am saying big wins against big teams make the difference, I think you are sayin the same thing?
  8. I will fall on the sword, was a huge Miami fan, graduated from USF before we had a team in 93. Went to 1 or 2 games a year for a decade and moved from Tampa to Texas in 2006. The Auburn game in 2007 got me going and the WVU put me over the top, I realized my school is big time and put my allegiance behind our team. Big wins matter and are necessary to building a base IMO.
  9. I would add a little more time to tap some ass as well and if a guy from steerage can bone a first class women than there is no reason we can’t pull off a ménage trios and lay the wood to both Bama and UF before we go under, nothing like dying with a smile on your face.
  10. I prefer to go upper decker in the master but otherwise spot on.
  11. No need to apologize, I hated to see him go, he seemed to have a ton of upside. They come and go more than they used to and it is frustrating when most of the time we have no idea why, so we are just left to speculate.
  12. Realistically the AAC will have between 5-6 bowl games against the P5. The 5 tie ins if the SEC can fill 10 spots for the Gasparilla and most likely a NY6. We have definitely separated ourselves from the steerage class and are securely a second class citizen, not quite first class but at least we are not at the bottom of the ship with the rats. Positive news in my view.
  13. With this quality hire they may achieve something that is rarely ever done, they will fold prior to their first game.
  14. We can poke fun however we know Puc 86 is the cream of this very ordinary crop, he sets the bar with his behavior (albeit low) and we all do what we can to clear it. Hated to have to correct what many of us call a mentor, but it important we hold ourselves to a higher standard for the good of the board.
  15. Yes it is however the code demands 100% compliance, adhering to bits and pieces and ignoring other parts will always result in failure. I have been chastised for not following the code on a consistent basis and feel the author of the code should not receive a free pass on this epic transgression. A dark day, would expect more from our most distinguished member, disappointing.
  16. Admitting you were wrong is a blatant violation of the PUC code, just wanted to point that out.
  17. Not discouraging and his life, we agree. I only disagreed with this only bodes well for us, not seeing the benefit of his departure. Edit or unedited either way is fine
  18. Just sayin does not bode well, he had game and the tools to be special IMO
  19. Not sure how this bodes well for us, he was a backup and had talent and now is leaving. He has every right to bail and it is his life however could care less if he lands on his feet or not, 1 year scholarship lost for nothing.
  20. Got it, I officially shat the bed. I am one of those fortunate souls that don’t care and will come back with a vengeance or with equally lame commentary, but I will not be silenced no matter how humiliating the experience.
  21. I have no idea what you are talking about? Tried to jump in the conversation late. Feeble attempt at humor fell flat, not sure what Puc has to do with it, my words they just weren’t my best work. @puc86 is legendary and an inspiration to us all however not sure why you tied him in to the conversation.
  22. Ok, comparison to Genshaft and Woodard stung and will take another bite at the apple. We are more of a opening band with aspirations of being a headliner. USF has potential and has upgraded their project manager Kelly who is working to improve their brand however the budget is tight and odds are long because being in the group of 5 we are constantly trying to validate our program and it is tiresome. Beating, Clemson, Miami, Auburn, FSU, Notre Dame etc.. for a program that is still a few years short of their silver anniversary is impressive, with that said I still would not mind hearing come on Eileen at the Ray Jay prior to kickoff.
  23. Absolutely a fantastic story and safe to say we are all rooting for the kid to make it.
  24. We really are the epitome of a “one hit wonder”, I like the idea of having a different one hit wonder band come and perform pre-game, we could start with Dexy,’s Midnight Runners. On the bright side it is still better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
