    Agreed. If the team still sucks at the end of the 2023 season, I think MK would be forced to make a change.

    This team is going 2-10 again or if we are lucky, 3-9. After all the team is still learning how to win. Scott said so in tonight’s press conference. Maybe by the time the stadium opens they will know how to win.

    In all seriousness I wonder if MK really would pull the trigger on Scott and fire him should USF lose tonight. After all that is his hire and he just extended him in January. Hopefully we don’t have to find out.

    Last year, FAMU actually outgained USF in their loss to the Bulls. If Howard outgains USF tomorrow night in a loss, then its going to be a looooonnnggggg season.

    They could just have a week one conference game within the AAC that week. Hopefully the coach at that time is better prepared for FBS openers.

    It will be interesting to see who will be our head coach when the new stadium opens in 2026, because IMO, Jeff Scott will be long gone by the time that first home game against Miami goes down in September 2026.

    COVID is no longer an excuse, and the team Charlie Strong left behind is no longer an excuse. IMO, Jeff Scott is NOT the guy, but unfortunately he is going to be here through the end of 2023, thanks to the ridiculous extension he signed.

    I actually see the score being worse than the BYU game. I am thinking along the lines of them beating us 49-7 or 56-10.

    McNeese finished 7-4 in 2012, they year before they played us in Willie's first game. Howard won two games last season, and have already been beaten by Alabama State and Hampton this season. A loss to Howard would be much worse than that loss to McNeese.

    Yeah but he is still Kelly's guy, and I think that gives him another chance. If Scott was hired by the previous AD, then I agree he might be gone at the end of this season should the team win less than three games. But I think he gets one more chance in 2023 with an extremely short leash. Also keep in mind, both Kelly and Scott have pushed the narrative that 2020 didn't count, so they might be trying to sell the fan base that this is really year 2.
