  1. They needed a fumble AND a nice 4th and 10 conversion AND a red zone push with under a minute to play. Of course, Stanford will get credit for escaping with a one point road win over a P5 team. Wonder how Stanford nation is reacting today? Meltdown? Or happy with the W?
  2. Interesting stats. Curious to see the RB rushing stats comparison between this season and last year. I know DJ, Tice, and QF have been racking up some ground yardage this year.
  3. I meant that literally, not figuratively. Regardless of our crappy SOS, we did not play one high school team and only 1 FCS team. I disagree that the Bulls have proven nothing, but I'm a glass-half-full person.
  4. I agree that this guy's prediction was crap. Can't speak for others, but I for one read it because it popped up in my Google news feed, and I wanted to see how low in the top 25 this guy had USF. Dude let me down, of course, but I couldn't un-read it at that point. Then I felt compelled to share my disbelief with other Bulls faithful. Again, I agree that not having undefeated USF in a top 25 prediction is crappy. But then I also see things through the veil of 30 years of USF fandom. Go Bulls!!
  5. Memphis is on the list. USF is 7 - 0. It's not like we played a bunch of high school and FCS teams all year. It's not like we've barely been able to score. It's not like our defense is horrible. I could go on, but preaching to the choir... It just boggles my mind. And makes me even more eager for the team to destroy all future opponents this year! Bulls Are We Baby!!
  6. I know it should not bother me ("just keep winning" and all of that), but this just feels insulting. UCF at 18... USF not on the list. Please tell me I just didn't see us listed... The prediction in the link below is not for the final CFP ranking. It is supposed to reflect how they think the committee would vote as of today. No matter how hard I try to rationalize this, it simply does not seem possible that USF is not at least 18-25 given that this poll has Miami at #5 with this as the reason, "The Hurricanes are not winning big, but they are still winning." Not looking for an explanation from the board (I can come up with a few myself)... Just sharing the pain with my fellow Rodney Dangerfields of college football. 7. If you want to feel better, go look at how WVU won just now against 0-7 Baylor. Ugly win = Win.
  8. Just making sure you all did notice that UCF was listed twice in the top row of undefeated AAC teams. That was the point of my post.
  9. A lot of highly ranked teams have won ugly games this year. Did anyone see how Miami won last week (4th and 10 miracle catch)? Think of all those top 10 teams that lost last week. LSU lost to Troy, but that did not make them a terrible bunch of losers. They did just fine tonight. If you want to extrapolate from one bad finish that we will lose future games, then I respectfully disagree. It's just as likely that USF takes this road win and builds on it to make sure crap like tonight's 4th quarter does not happen against Houston or UCF. Time (and the field of play) will tell. Go Bulls! Congrats on being 7-0 with a 12-game win streak and the new record for 30+ point games.
  10. At the start of his show today (4PM) I heard Mark Packer announce that CCS would be on at 5:20. I did not know it was a weekly feature though. Unfortunately, I missed it this week. Did anyone hear the interview today?
  11. I'm no fan of JK's style of USF coverage, but I remember when I was happy to at least see a USF score reported somewhere. Not saying we should be happy with what we've got, but it's better than being completely ignored, right?
  12. Thank you Boise! No more college football after 1:30am for me this year! I've watched way too many SDSU games this year. Glad to see them get exposed finally. They have never been in USF's league in my opinion. I know they had some good wins, but I just didn't see a very good team when I watched them play. The blue field boys proved me right tonight (this morning).
  13. I guess the Tampa Bay Times web graphics folks did not get the memo.
  14. Not that I heard. If they asked him that question early on before I tuned in, my guess is that he would have said he's focused 100% on the USF Bulls.
  15. I happened to tune in to ESPNU Radio on XM around 5:30 today (Jeff Rickard show I think) and heard the familiar voice of Charlie Strong. It was a great, informal interview without too much coach-speak. The hosts gave USF a ton of props, including telling Coach that they've been hearing on the street that Florida's best three college football teams do not include the Gators or Seminoles. Strong basically responded by pointing out how UM, USF, and UCF are all undefeated. He graciously said UF and FSU have solid teams. They then asked him if he saw UF's uniforms for this weekend. He had not but they kept him on the phone while one of the football managers looked it up for him. He sounded amused when he saw the pictures, and said maybe they will look better on the players. The hosts jokingly suggested he try using Bull skin jerseys (look up the Gators' unis and you'll get it). Coach just laughed and said we'd just be wearing our colors. Overall it was a cool segment. Coach Strong did a great job and represented the University and our Bulls with his normal class and humility.
