These are not binary decisions...you can do both or neither and they are independent of one another. Oddly, I believe last year set the record for donations and the stadium-related donations would not somehow get reallocated to coaches. While I personally will not be supporting anything USF athletics related above the absolute bare minimum because of the way I have been personally treated (and not simply because I did not get my hat last night because they were 'all gone' even though I have a ticket entitling me to one), it does appear that those around me have increased their donation levels (I have as well, just for one other school and different organizations). A stadium creates more revenue opportunities and certainly the potential for more expenses. If managed correctly, it should very much be positive for the future of the program which in turn will create more money to hire coaches. I encourage as many as possible to donate to minimize the debt service obligations, as this too will help ensure the future financial viability of the program.
