  1. I would think Chad Morris for the rest of the season. Not sure I can see him being the go forward guy though. I'm sure recurring names like Larry Scott and xCJL will have to be considered...who you got?
  2. When did we get so soft as to react this way to a Category 3 storm? Nothing should be canceled now at all.
  3. Then don't join the band...doesn't seem to be an issue at every other school in the south. You are also missing the funny hats. We don't have the funny hats and instead wear ballcaps. Sometimes you see people on the big screen with all kind of random hats, but not the normal funny ones.
  4. Not sure why it matters that you are a parent or not, but I appreciate the support you give your child to be engaged. The children are directed by their leadership, thus my comments are reflective of the leadership not the students (same with the players). Nevertheless, your comment factually inaccurate...they put on the full uniform at half time only in game 2 which I assumed had to do with their performance welcoming the high school kids. Before/after they wore like overalls or whatever with t-shirts. Weather doesn't seem to matter at other schools...its super hot everywhere in the south and clear ponchos seem to work for everyone else in rain. This isn't a new issue.
  5. In what scenario would this be good or in any way helpful? We can't even get the band to actually wear their uniforms at a home game...it's by far my biggest issue with attending the games in person. Just so painful...we are only as strong as our weakest link and this band is so bad. I don't see how showing more of something so bad would be good...I also don't think that even if they were amazing that would help in any way. Such a bizarre comment. Said differently, my disdain for the band is even stronger than my eternal disdain for USF athletics leadership (until they appropriately right their wrong).
  6. Every other third down our defense was in, the stadium music was a part of what I assume is an electronic song and was a sort of deep tone and a second deep tone and for some reason it got people moving. I don't know what it is but I liked it! Does anyone know what this song is?
  7. All: I have some fun Bullspen swag that Brad/BDYZR (BDYZR is Bud-weis-er and is super creative and I feel very dumb for not figuring it out earlier but thanks!) provided and I will have available at Rocky's Hideaway. We have pens and coasters and stickers...its very exciting! Rocky's Hideaway is pictured below and has 2 super tall flag poles, we park on the south side of the stadium in Lot 9...or 6 or 7. Honestly not sure...it's the Dale Mabry side of the stadium lot on the south side. Can't miss it! I am getting Bullspen flags made but they are not here yet! Please come by and check out the swap!
  8. This Club Seats thing cannot be understated. I literally pay an extra $1k per year just for this and no one has EVER checked. It's wild and depressing. After seeing it again last night, there is no reason to renew with the extra $1k.
  9. These are not binary decisions...you can do both or neither and they are independent of one another. Oddly, I believe last year set the record for donations and the stadium-related donations would not somehow get reallocated to coaches. While I personally will not be supporting anything USF athletics related above the absolute bare minimum because of the way I have been personally treated (and not simply because I did not get my hat last night because they were 'all gone' even though I have a ticket entitling me to one), it does appear that those around me have increased their donation levels (I have as well, just for one other school and different organizations). A stadium creates more revenue opportunities and certainly the potential for more expenses. If managed correctly, it should very much be positive for the future of the program which in turn will create more money to hire coaches. I encourage as many as possible to donate to minimize the debt service obligations, as this too will help ensure the future financial viability of the program.
  10. Nebraska was favored by 12...or 13 depending on the book. Not an equal opponent by any stretch...
  11. The old lady runs the calendar for the monsters...turns out I was not appropriately listening (or so I've been told).
  12. Sadly I have to rescind my offer as I am evidently committed to my son's football game in Plant City at the same time...I was unaware. I am very sorry.
  13. You can't park directly in front of Gaspar's but I can probably get there early and park in the street spots on the side since it's on a corner. The 4 flags are ~30' tall...not sure the laws either, but if I break one I'm sure I can just move the trailer. Let me know!
  14. Brad: If it's helpful, I can bring my trailer and park it outside Gaspar's or near Gaspar's. If you want, we can get flag(s) made...the flag poles hold up to 4 3x5' flags. Let me know.
  15. My God, you're right! I'm going to need a new helmet!
  16. Pretty sure they have never done a gold outline? Definitely done the green outline before...I have one of them sitting on my desk.
  17. Just get off this site man...failed experiment? Why are you here?
  18. I don't think any talk to the AAC is wishful thinking...
  19. It's about growing the brand...I don't think people really care if the Savannah Bananas win, it's all about the experience. Families want to come out and see it. In a market where there are tons of other options, not every person is going to want to come for the draw of football...not even the students. It needs to be a full experience. Lagoon or fireworks or bouncy houses or raves or whatever...its about an experience that connects people of all ages to the university and to the team. I can tell you personally that even my oldest couldn't really pay close attention to the game until he was 7...young alumni have young kids. There should be a draw. Just no clowns.
  20. Hard disagree...I don't care what the amenity is that brings people to the stadium as long as they come to the stadium. Whatever it takes to build memories and strengthen the connection to the school...watching none of the game in the lagoon still occurs at the game, which then drives conversation about 'going to the game' which brings casual people into the game which creates the opportunity for something magical to happen and bring more people into the fold. I don't care if they have a petting zoo and a carousel. Whatever it takes. Think Savannah Bananas, not Miami Hurricanes.
  21. Good thing man...given all of your funds have been re-routed to the Raiders for the last several years, I imagine there is some kind of shrine that has been constructed the stadium with your namesake.
