  1. For the last few games (at least) on I think alternating 3rd downs, the in stadium music is some kind of electronic song and it is amazing. I cannot figure out what song this is...does anyone know?
  2. You sure Weaver isn't going to the draft vs. the portal?
  3. I really don't see how anyone can look at this guy's body of work and the level of interest he has received from other schools and consider this a crap hire? Who would be a non-crap hire? Deion would be an excellent recruiter...still is a higher risk than a typical coach (certainly with higher upside). If Deion was never mentioned and of course of CJL was a non-starter (truly sad), this guy would have been considered a huge win. Honestly, MK has a ton of stuff outside of the coach to worry about that I witnessed on Saturday: 1. Why did he allow the stadium to feel like a home game for UCF? Literally giving away tickets to anyone else would have been better. 2. Why does our band continue to look so bad...even the UCF people wore their uniforms the whole game. 3. Why are so many of our cheerleaders/sun dolls so fat while UCF has shockingly fit cheerleaders (and they are actually crazy athletic) 4. Why is the UCF tailgating experience so much more impassioned? 5. Why don't we wear the slime look more? So many issues he is struggling with...looks like he hired one of the best options available. Let's celebrate that.
  4. Jamey Chadwell has had great success at a smaller program and has been coveted by a number of 'big name' schools. To the extent we are able to secure him, we should celebrate that success instead of being defeated that it isn't Deion.
  5. At this point I have to assume you are just trolling us right? To say that the minority want CJL back and now saying that Jon Gruden was not a very good TV analyst when he was must watch TV for 9 years is just a wild statement. Love Gruden or hate him, his success in the booth is unquestionable. These are two positions that are just so diametrically opposed to reality that I would have expected them to have come from my main man puc.
  6. I have no idea how you can possibly calculate that...my vantage point sees intense support that is both nonstop and overwhelming and a very, very small percentage are against the Jim. I do think that the vast majority of us have given up hope for the rightful resurrection of CJL and, as a result, find ourselves fantasizing over extreme longshots like Deion Sanders and Lane Kiffin. I have no doubt that the Jim will likely return us to 8-9 win seasons at best. Many of us were clamoring for his dismissal because of frustration that 8-9 wins was not enough...those of us were emphatically wrong. 8-9 win seasons built the foundation of the USF fandom and we should have appreciated it further (a la TCU). Viva the Jim!
  7. Are we reading the same forum? Seems like the majority not a small percentage? I also don't consider my circle to be particularly small and most are not on this forum...I would describe that circle as near unanimous. I am not arrogant enough to think my sub-100 person circle is particularly influential or representative, but given how small the fanbase appears I would have to say that it counts for more than it should. As a result, I flatly reject your claim.
  8. This brings up something I have been thinking about...I am aware that Miss St has made the cowbell a big thing at their games but I don't really see also bringing the cowbell to USF as something wrong or whatever. We are bulls, the cowbell makes sense. I think we need to make the cowbell a thing.
  9. Yes...really disappointing to squeeze something so important into a TV timeout.
  10. I am very well aware that there was a separate HOF event and at least one positive article written, but Q was covered in the game today for less than 10 seconds...the entire HOF part was maybe a minute. I admit that I was not in my seat for all of halftime so perhaps there was something recognizing him then and will retract this statement if I am mistaken. Assuming I am not, seems like a massively blown opportunity to spotlight a guy who might be the greatest player ever for us. Really baffling to me that this wasn't a huge and extremely widely publicized thing. I met Q while tailgating and he was with a few guys...played catch with my son, spent a ton of time with us...but he was not properly exalted the way he deserves to be.
  11. It's a debate because multiple previous players plus actual historical accounts demonstrate that he uses the term 'rubber lips' to describe people who are lying. This is easily Googled. Boggles my mind that we are so quick to call someone a racist or any -ist without researching. I of course agree he shouldn't be the coach but that has nothing to do with this. Guy coached for almost 40 years with not one account of racism anywhere and says one thing that is handily dismissed but we all want to call him a racist. Crazy.
  12. Again, this is not a racist remark. Do some research instead of dragging the man's character through the mud. I very much oppose him as the choice for headcoach...there are many other factually accurate reasons why. Please stop feeding this misinformation.
  13. I would not love the Gruden hire either, but this stuff about continuing to call his comments racist is ridiculous. Multiple players have said he uses the term 'rubber lips' frequently to talk about someone lying. I have no defense of him on homophobic/misogynist comments though.
  14. You missed this? Tim Brown says Jon Gruden uses 'rubber lips' saying Tim Brown defended Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden and said he has heard him use 'rubber lips' in the past when talking about people lying Wasn't racist in the least...
  15. No, it's not. He's monotone and simply not good. Given where we are at, I suppose you could consider him a treasure as I am not nearly as impacted by him as just about everything else including the band. Truly miserable if that is true.
  16. Probably not, but might help the advertising algorithms.
  17. The guy is 65...I legit think he could coach until he's 85...
  18. It is certainly fathomable. Might not be plausible, but you could certainly fathom it.
  19. Really thinking that a big-time school coordinator is a poor choice. Running a smaller program requires skills at finding/recruiting diamonds in the rough, gladhanding $5k donors (instead of $100k donors), and (apparently) playing the transfer portal game well. Seems unlikely a coordinator from an ACC school will be able to excel in those areas.
  20. Waste Management is actually kind of awesome...also the WM golf tournament is pretty special. I think you are looking for something like Republic waste. They are garbage;)
