John: I want to be very clear that your dedication is incredible and support for the university and insight shared on this site is inspiring. I don't ever want the various commentary or perspective to dim any of that shine. Please never let it and please help others find what was lost. That being said, a small part of me was a bit disappointed with the IPF because the previous renderings appeared more substantial/impressive. The fact that shovels will finally dig is wonderful, my expectations were just previously set very high and were delivered a bit lower (unless I have missed something). I am very excited and proud and very appreciative that my (small) donation (although I have claimed part of CR's donation in my head so my contribution feels much more substantial) helped it actually come to fruition. I hope going forward we temper our projections/rhetoric and really deliver on something tangible. If I never saw a previous rendering and this IPF news came out today, I would be on cloud 9. Same result, different feeling. I'm very proud to be a Bull and really am excited for the IPF and next year...and even though I aspire to agree with puc in all ways, I do believe in CJS. Hope is not a strategy, but its all I've got!

The Buffalo Bills were horrible for 20 years after spending decades mired (mostly) in mediocrity and a handful of years as a very good team, but never quite good enough. Somehow, in that miserable 20 year Siberian hell, the lowly people of Buffalo banded together to build a culture of tradition and excitement. It is a terrible city with terrible weather with a terrible economy and, up until recently, a terrible football team...and I love everything about them. That terrible city and terrible weather and terrible economy and terrible football team is THEIRS. They owned it, the invested in it and they built something incredibly special. They branded it the "Bills Mafia" and they live that life each and every single day. We too have been mired in lowly performance in a lowly conference (as first reported by Puc)...this is not the time to wallow in our lowliness! I have quite literally never heard a single positive thing about Joe Hice...ever. Evidently he is leaving his post and for some ridiculous reason, this is the only coverage we ever seem to get from the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Very irritating...I think behind a paywall. This question/answer was the most strange to me...how did he not prioritize this in his job?? What steps should USF take next? That’s one of the areas I wish we would have been able to do more, is telling the story beyond the USF area. We got started and excelled in a few areas; Covid is a good example, of the USF researchers that developed the system to print nasal swabs and was in multiple national media outlets. I was mistaken! We also have 'accent' colors of which 'apple', which is evidently the Slime color, is a member of! Sadly/gladly, purple is not accurate. There is no purple. There is, however, a shade of blue called 'storm' which is admittedly gray-ish.
