    Yes, we all know that we can't actually play them in the CCG. Just a hypothetical and assumed the question was understood as such. I'm thinking this team is still learning to win. They went to Temple and played their worst game of the year. And that if we had a chance to play Temple again, we'd put up a much better effort defensively.

    I think we'd take em down. Offense would put up the points. I think the defense would play much more inspired, not difficult as they barely had a pulse last time. Too bad we can't get another crack at those guys.

    Ugh, Birmingham was not fun last time we were there...except for the actual game. That town is craptastic. But I'll go if that's where we get stuck.

    Without a marquee opponent there's no way he'll be considered. He will have to put up nation leading stats, play defense, return kicks, and throw TD passes to himself. Media has too much P5 bias.

    Yeah, schedule isn't that exciting. Won't have to worry about cramped seating at RJS. Or heavy traffic getting to and leaving the stadium. That's some consolation. My seats are right in front of the sundolls for the 1st and 4th quarters, so I'll be just fine.

    Waking up after a big win over the #22 ranked Navy Midshipmen. I'm baffled by how well we played on defense, for the 1st half anyway. The so called "eye test" makes me want to see my optometrist again. I've watched Houston beat up Oklahoma, then Navy beat up on Houston. Temple lost to Army, then Army lost to North Texas (NT is better this year but still gotta think they are a crappy team). How the in the hell did they lose to Army?!? We lose to Temple and dominate Navy. I really did not see how we were going to stop Navy's rushing attack. Very happy for the outcome. Hate to have to count on Cinci, UConn, Tulane or ECU to beat Temple. Hope one of those palookas can pull an upset for us.

    Anyone remember what defense we ran last year against Navy? I would hope the staff have been devising a plan since last year just for this game.

    Without QF might as well flush the season down the toilet. Hope he's not hurt too bad. He has his flaws but last night he put the offense on his back.

    4-2-5 is the right scheme for a lot that we face. Obviously not against Navy. But a 4-3 isn't going to be the answer with the way AS and NH have been playing. Just adding another linebacker won't be the fix. It's what they plan on doing with those LBs in space/in the "scheme" and if they can friggin tackle.

    Nah, we can still trust CWT to grow with the program. I think he can improve and still get the job done. But we need to make changes on defense.

    I think we lose to Navy. I think we can beat Memphis. From what I've seen from Memphis, they have many flaws as well. We can still finish the season strong but I saw the conf title hopes die last night.

    Temple isn't any good this year. They lost to Army and should have lost to UCF. Rutgers from 06-08 was a very good team with an NFL all star RB. Don't compare the current Rutgers team to when Grothe played them.
