  1. The UCF defense is much improved from last year and the offense has provided enough production to keep them from going 0-12 again. This will be closer than most think. Both teams will agree to a running clock after the first quarter when USF scores a record setting 7 touchdowns. UCF fans stick it out until half time before returning to Orlando with a moral victory of scoring 3 points. 1) Da Bulls 2) 749 - 3 3) Marlon Mack 4) Rodney Adams 5) 80,000 yds
  2. I agree with you. Can you imagine the outrageous number of touchdowns and offensive stats we'd be putting up now if we had a defense like season's past that made stops / caused turnovers and put the offense back on the field?
  3. They don't pass very much so in order to get any turnovers we need pressure up front and penetration through the line to disrupt the option. I just don't think we have the play-makers to do this. We've seen running backs running free around the ends in every game. I'm hoping for the best, but I think we're walking into the perfect storm. A finely tuned running machine against an abysmal run defense. Defenses have all ready game-planned to stop that quick bubble screen to Adams or Mack. We saw Temple blow that play up several times. I think Navy will do the same. I'll be at the game and I'll hope for the best. We will need to score every possession because our defense will be on the field all day with Navy's long time-consuming drives.
  4. The optimist that I am, before the Temple game I bought extra tickets for Navy to bring my wife's parents to the game, hoping to turn them into Bull's fans. If I have to listen to her dad complain all game about how bad our defense is, I'll go broke in the beer line. The team might lose bad, but we'll be there supporting them.
  5. If we don't beat Navy, we really don't deserve to be in a conference title game. We are not a good team on the defensive side of the ball. The offense over-compensated in the first half of the season. Now that teams are starting to slow them down, our lack of defense is more noticeable. I think the offense is trying to do too much at this point which as led to some turnovers / fumbles when trying to continue a drive because they feel they have to score every possession.
  6. For some, anything but an undefeated season is a complete failure. It's a totally unrealistic expectation. I remember the days of having a good defense and sub-par offense. This offense is exciting to watch, but they shouldn't be expected to score a td every possession in order to win the game. Let's not tear down the team and throw out the season because of one game. I think they know what they need to improve. Let's hope for an effort against Navy similar to how FSU played us after losing to Louisville. These guys need to be mad and pissed off at losing.
  7. It's difficult to concentrate on work Goooooooooooooooooooooooo Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuulls!!
  8. I think it was used so much that teams expect it and have game-planned to stop it. Part of it is probably the coverage. Maybe the defense is shadowing Adams or the side he is running to.
  9. The radio announcers said the middle was open all game. Do you think it's an issue that the coaches didn't adjust their play calling to exploit it? Or did Flowers just not see them open? I'm not complaining because a win is a win, but against future opponents who will game plan to stop either the running game or the deep ball, we need to be able to adjust.
  10. I'm sure it affects them to some degree. I would guess quite a few think that if they put a winning product on the field, the fans will come out to support them. I blew it this time, I will be at the next home game.
  11. We have the drops and bad penalties every game. A better game plan would have converted at least one of those missed field goal chances into a touchdown. If half-time adjustments were made, I didn't notice. Flowers was actually accurate and had time to throw. Why weren't more passing plays called? Willy was the difference in this game. This team's talent is developing, but it doesn't help when the coach can't get the offensive plays in on time. Oh, and I'd like him to be successful. I'm not on the Fire Willy bandwagon.
  12. I asked the same question earlier (ya thief :-)...I assumed yours was rhetorical also, in that clearly, no ban would occur. I think it's more the fact that it's a strip of clubs that serve alcohol in a not-so-nice area of town. Like someone else mentioned, I doubt USF players are in Ybor after midnight to eat at the Columbia restaurant. Bad things happen everywhere, but I think it's the combination of factors that caused him to make the statement. It's the perfect storm. Sober or intoxicated young people with money in their pockets, in an area where they can be easily preyed upon is going to attract bad actions and bad people. He's just trying to reduce the chance of that happening. If the donors are upset, they need to push to have the area cleaned up. Most people know it's not a safe place after dark.
  13. Cousins misses both free throws and USF still up by 1 UAB just nails a 3 with 3:15 left
  14. announcer just said USF is shooting over 50% in field goals, free throws and 3's. It's all those stinking turnovers keeping UAB in it...
  15. Yup, that's the one. I figured I'd share the info that it does list viewing links for the game.
