  1. We had an ineligible player who formerly played in the CFL for half a season so we had to forfeit the games he played in. Scandal exposed by months of intense investigations by Joey Knight. I think it got him a Pulitzer.
  2. Come from behind to beat Tulsa, Tulane, UConn and UMass and see how far we move up in the rankings. My point is, we're in the AAC, unless you beat bad teams convincingly, you're not making a significant move up.
  3. They almost need to poll random fans during the game to find out what is working and what is not. That Go Bulls! cheer they do prior to kickoff where they ask the Home side to say it and then the Away side is weak. The away side is usually half empty and has the opposing team's fans. It ends up being the announcer saying it by himself. Just seems forced.
  4. Anyone remember or try to forget the glitter-covered towel guys? Started out as two guys and then multiplied into a mass of glitter covered fans? I guess it died out after they graduated. wow, sorry for the thread hijack...it was all ready running off course.
  5. Doesn't mean much unless we can start putting together complete games on offense and defense.
  6. Our offense depends on being able to run the ball. That opens up everything else. For some reason either lack of running back depth because of injuries or bad offensive line exposed by a better defense, we were dead in the water.
  7. Was he at any point making out with his sister?
  8. I don't see us losing to Temple or Cincy. If we have to lose 2 games, it will be to Houston and the tinmen.
  9. We had a bunch of injuries, defense played better (forcing 8 punts and 2 fourth down turnovers) offense had some hiccups and we still won. The lack of offense was frustrating, but we're used to video game numbers from the last few seasons. The bye week couldn't come at a better time.
  10. It worked out. My wife got tickets at work and we ended up in the Hard Rock box. We had Michael Kelly and Doug Woolard in the box to our right. It was kind of surreal.
  11. You just couldn't resist. The funny thing is that after tonight's game, this thread will probably go on for another week or three.
  12. That's positive thinking right there. At least you didn't say between our Birmingham "assless-chaps" trophy and the Bad Boy Mower trophy. You need to create a GoFundMe page and make this happen.
  13. Great pick up! Looks like this guy has some potential. Could be good on kick returns....
  14. I'm guessing no P5 team wants to play us. The fact that we have 3 on the schedule seems like a win. The way FSU and UF have been down, there is no way they agree to play us and take the chance of being embarrassed. Just add School for Wayward Orphans and be done with it. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when our AD is trying to schedule a P5 team. Do they laugh outright at him or keep it civil? It just seems like all negatives and no positives for them to play us. They give us legitimacy by playing us.
  15. From an interview with Michael Kelly posted August 8th. I think total complex was around $40 million and they were going to build it in phases. Not looking good for ground-breaking this year.
  16. These are the normal seats I sit in. Pretty good view of the field. Section 218, Row D, Seats 13 and 14. Tickets have access to the Club level, but you have to enter through Gate D. My wife won some better seats so I'm giving these away hoping to get more Bulls fans to the game. I have them in PDF format that you can just print out. Just pm me your email address and I'll send them to you. If you get them, please go to the game.
  17. Wish he had stuck around for his last year. Valdez-Scantling, Adams and McCants was a good combo....
  18. There is a Wing House right across the street from the Fairgrounds on 301. I'm guessing you could have them turn on the game.
  19. sorry, thought you were talking about Saturdays game....I've been reading too many threads...
  20. When did you see it? We sat in the sun until a littler before halftime and my son couldn't take it anymore. We headed to the Club area for some a/c and it was pretty full then. At halftime, anyone with club access streamed in and packed the place. When halftime ended, I didn't see many leaving the a/c to go back to their seats. I'm not sure how many have club access, but it was standing room only in there.
  21. This isn't from twitter, but this a link to the top plays of the week that make you say Holy Cow from The College Football Show on ESPN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnemqU6QgeE
