Not is it a Pollyana sunshine-and-unicorn-farts post to cheer us on and be positive. I mean it simply as an observation, that while perhaps a bit mundane or even overly obvious to some, might help prepare some of us for the upcoming season's roller coaster ride. We have pretty much always played up or down to the level of our competition. This is the common denominator of USF Football and our singular identity across our young history. Giant killers, mid-season swooners, historical FCS losses--we've celebrated or endured them with incredible regularity. Even in last year's bleak trenches, after the McNeese debacle, we went to the eventual Rose Bowl Champion's house and gave them all they could handle in a tight game. Our archives are full of examples like this. This pattern has already begun to play itself out again. Nail-biting emotionally-draining game where we're either losing to a team we shouldn't or winning against a team we "shouldn't"?...check! Don't be surprised next week if we come out like a (ahem) different team and give Maryland all they can handle as well. It would be so USF to do just that. And we probably will. So... Go Bulls! Now this team has alot of youth so I expect some growing pains at the start of the season
