Winners and Losers from Week 2 of College Football

Loser: Anyone Who Watched Michigan State and South Florida

Five different quarterbacks saw action in Michigan State's 21-6 win over South Florida, and some appalling numbers came as a result.

South Florida's Bobby Eveld was putrid, finishing 6-of-25 for 66 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Sophomore Steven Bench briefly filled in for him, and went 0-of-1 passing.

On the other side, Michigan State's trio of signal-callers didn't do much more than garner a showering of boos. Andrew Maxwell, Connor Cook and Tyler O'Connor combined to complete 12-of-24 passes for 94 yards without a touchdown or interception.

After the sloppy showing, those in attendance should've received a full refund.

Everyone needs to begin loving the word PUTRID.  This is the second week I've used it and now reporters are using it as well.  May be the new lexicon to describe USF football...at least for the foreseeable future.

Fans of the team know there were some bright spots, not a total disaster. But to the casual fan, unless you were into defensive football, it was a snoozer.
