That has to be the worst press conference I've ever seen by a high ranking university official.  That was worse than most interviews of high school athletes.

 

First the AD embarrasses himself and the school by blaming everything on HR.  I can't imagine any Human Resources person suggest that the coach should not be fired for cause after that video.  He could have been arrested for assault.

 

Then the president gets up there and says stupid things like, "If I had seen the video the coach would have been fired."  Well then, dummy, why didn't you see the video?  "I was new at the school."  That is your excuse?  They didn't hire an inexperienced college kid as an intern, they freaking hired you to be president of one of the more prestigious universities in the country.  I'm quite sure you had enough experience to know how to handle firing someone that should be fired.

 

The reporters were laughing at him during the press conference.  That school is a joke.

Rutgers is prestigious?

 

They couldn't even call it U of New Jersey, or New Jersey State University ... they had to eliminate the state from the name altogether!  Sounds like the state is embarrassed of the school, to me.  :D
