Watching it on the Live Stats link.  What a finish.  Pitt helped us out a lot in the last inning.  But nice to be on the other side of those games.  Might go to the game tomorrow at 11:00 and bring a small broom.

Nice to win, even if by unconventional means.

Elsewhere, Louisville beat Cincinnati and Rutgers beat Seton Hall.  Which means UL, USF, and RU are still in a 3-way tie for first. Fourth place is Pitt, 1.5 games back. If season ended today, St Johns, Villanova, and Cincinnati would be sitting at home.

Team....Record.....GB.....GR

1. Louisville...6-2...0.0...16

1. Rutgers...6-2...0.0...16

1. USF...6-2...0.0...16

4. Pitt...3.2...1.5...19

5. UConn...4-4...2.0...16

5. Notre Dame...4-4...2.0...16

5. Seton Hall...4-4...2.0...16

5. Georgetown...3-3...2.0...18

9. St Johns...3-5...3.0...16

10. Villanova...0-5...4.5...19

11. Cincinnati...1-7...5.0...16

This team is Jekyll-Hyde. How do you lose a series to Georgetown, but take a series against a ranked Pitt team?  I still want Prado gone, but I'm starting to get excited because of our conference play.

Because Pitt is not a real ranked team. They were ranked on record alone. RPI at 89, with 3 of 28 games played against teams in the top 100 and the 222nd easiest schedule in the nation. That top 100 team was Towson, who is 14-16 but has played a respectable schedule.
