Good news is we won yesterday, 10-6 in 10 innings.  The bad news is we had a 5-0 lead after 5 innings. 5-1 heading into the 8th and blew it. Then had a 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the 9th and blew that one. Luckily the bats came alive in the 10th along with some Georgetown mistakes.

Still not happy that we blew two leads late and that we've had to go extra innings against Georgetown. We could easily have lost both games and won both games. Today is a must win in my books.

Tied up 1-1, bottom 2nd right now.

Down 6-1 in the 4th. What a joke. Bats better get going.

We've drawn 5 walks, but no hits.

We had bases loaded and no outs in the 1st and only managed one freaking run. That is a huge joke.

I really am torn. I want us to do well and fight for a championship, but at the same time I want us to just lose out so we can get a new coach and hit the reset button on this program. We've got one of the best baseball facilities in the state. If we can get the right coach, I'm confident we can compete and make the NCAAs annually.

Great, we bring in a new pitcher (#3 this game) for the bottom of the 5th.

Double.

Wild pitch.

Hit by pitch.

Hit by pitch.

Pitcher #4 comes in.

Great job. Just load up the bases. Seriously, we have no pitching aside from a few decent starters.

We got lucky. Got an infield pop up followed by a DP. No damage done. Still pathetic.

Pathetic. A 7-2 loss today and we drop the series.

Here's the total box score:

team :: 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 :: .R .H .E

USF. :: 4  0  0  2  0  1  0  0  1  4  0  0  0  :: 12 29 9

GU.. :: 1  0  1  4  0  2  0  4  1  0  0  0  0  :: 14 26 4

Just a bad series all around that we should have won.

Georgetown was a bottom 2 team in all of the preseason big east projections. That series loss is awful.
