But football the main bread and butter is doing terrible.... might be time for a AD with more football experience.

I think it's pretty obvious Doug Woolard is incapable of getting the program to the next level.

His job is to hire a coach to take the program to the next level. Giving Skip an extension was a mistake, but what else has Doug done wrong? His successes out-weigh his failures. What are his successes and how are they weighted compared to the football program? Without a good football program producing revenue for non-revenue sports where is all of athletics? As to your question of what has Doug done wrong...He killed the goose that laid the golden egg and hired a coach that lays an egg.

There was a lot of support for giving Leavitt the boot, even before slapgate. You have to please the boosters. Holtz came in with a good record. Two conference titles. Does Doug have a crystal ball that tells him whether or not a coach is going to succeed? Basketball is another program that is able to generate revenue for the athletics department. With the renovations of the Sun Dome and the construction of the Muma Center, we are receiving a lot more interest from top recruits. Can you give reasons for firing Woolard other than Skip not performing the way he should?

From whom? How many? Would you say there is more support for firing Skip right now than there was CJL before or after the Slapgate Ambush? Woolard should be fired for his lack of integrity and judgement as well as his inexperience and mismanagement of the football program.

In our best season ever we got mauled by a 4th string QB in the sun bowl.
