I know this is WAY in advance but......

do you think a lot of people will be attending this game?

Do you have to fly into a different city and then rent a car?

will we be able to buy tix that will place us next to other bulls?

thanks!

ChiTown,

If do plan on attending, be sure to buy your ticket through athletics or the alumni association so that you are seated in the USF block.  I'd imagine that although Miami will be the big travel game this year due to its proximity, the PSU game will still have decent USF attendance.  At least it should have decent attendance, since it's a great place to play, and we actually have a shot at winning.

As for attending the game, you'll probably need to fly into Philly and drive over the day of the game.  The hotels in State College are all booked already.  I'm waiting for USF to release details on its travel plans to see where the team is staying.  I'll be living outside Detroit next fall, and will be driving over for the game.

I just checked and it is way cheaper for me to fly into Pitt $124 roundtrip

Southwest won't let you book past sept but in july a rt is less than $80

In fact that is so cheap I might consider going to the pitt game as well

Yeah, since you're coming from Chicago, it would make sense for it to be cheaper into Pitt.  I might be at that game as well, depending on my work travel schedule.

i wonder how many will travel to that game?

If I went to the pitt game I would probably be going by myself.

I wouldn't expect the Pitt travel to be too high.  It is sad that we're going to be a poor travelling school.  After Miami, nobody will be headed north for games.  We'll be lucky to have a couple hundred at all the northern games, with PSU being the potential exception.

USF has strong alumni bases in the northeast, particularly DC and NYC. So I think you'll see a few Bulls fans at these games.

The problem is that USF is playing so many games in the northeast now, our fans in that area will have multiple opportunities to attend, and the fan base will be split across multiple games. Instead of 2500 for Penn State we'll have 500 each for PSU, Pitt, UConn, Syracuse, and Rutgers.

Furthermore, Penn State tickets are hard to get and the city isn't exactly convenient for air travel (like, say, Pittsburgh is).

If we were still in CUSA and our only game in the northeast was Penn State, I think you'd see a larger contingent at the Penn State game.

How many tix do you think psu will allocate to USF?

It was probably part of the contract, so it depends on what USF negotiated for...

When will the tickets become available?  I have about around 12-14 people driving over from Ohio to the game.  I hope that have enough tickets allocated for us die-hard fans.
