Where is the best place to tailgate? We need somewhere close to the stadium as we have someone with bad knees that has a hard time walking long distances. He has a handicap pass, but I noticed that the handicap lot is in a parking garage and tailgating isnt allowed in the garages.

I saw that there is parking around Peccole Field, do people tailgate in those lots? Is that relatively close to Mackay Stadium?

I believe you can tailgate there, but I would call the University to confirm, the contact person is Meridith Montoya (775) 682-6905. The rules are you can't tailgate south of one of the parking garages, but that garage is south of the stadium. As for distance to the stadium, it depends on where you park and tailgate in that lot. If you do it as far west as possible, you'll get relatively close to the stadium but it's an uphill walk to the stadium. Hope that info helps.
