Austin Adams was the first USF player taken in the 2012 MLB Draft. He went in the 8th Round to the LA Angels. It would be a big loss to our bullpen if we lose him for next year.

Derrick Stultz became the second Bull to be drafted. He went in the 14th Round to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Surprised he didn't go earlier. He had a great season.

Andrew Barbosa finally gets taken in the 36th Round. He'll join Stultz with the Arizona Diamondbacks. I can't believe it took this long for him to go.

I think age and injury history played a role.

Stultz is in the same boat. He's been injured and stayed a 5th year. Although I think AB has a few more years on him.

Stultz just turned 23 in March, Barbosa is 24 and turning 25 in November. A year and a half might not exactly explain a 20 round difference, but it is a big difference in how one views a prospect.

Barbosa's fastball seems to have lost a foot after the injury. Probably the reason. I was hoping the Giants picked him again and signed him. Glad he got drafted.
