The Colony forward Zach LeDay was named the ESPNHS Midlands region player of the week for last week.

From the ESPNHS player of the week blog post:

LeDay has been getting his way for the Cougars for much of the season and had two 30-point games last week. The 6-foot-8 power forward with a commitment to South Florida first scored 30 points in a 64-34 victory against Plainview (Texas). He then came through for 33 as The Colony beat Burges (El Paso, Texas) 63-55. ... He is averaging 20.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

The Colony's season came to an end Tuesday with its 55-52 regional semifinal loss to Wolfforth Frenship on Tuesday.

I've been following our recruits all season and LeDay has been a big surprise, Looks like he'll be a welcome addition to the team next season. Congrats on the great season and now he can began work to ready himself for college.

By accounts he might be. He still hasn't taken the visit to Texas yet, but from reports he will soon enough. I still hope that he reconsiders because I think he's talented enough to get minutes as a freshman at USF. Talent wise he's considered a level above Blake Nash. USF is recruiting other guards so they probably think Holland is a lost cause. We'll just have to see.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
