i thought this might be our best class. I will also say that anyone who tries to say rankings dont matter are just trying to talk out their a**. The top players go to the top schools. The top 150 plays constistantly go to the top 25 schools in the country. The year in and year out schools who remain ELITE, they might have a down years but they remain ELITE teams because they get the best recruiting classes based on the rankings we have now. Yes there will be let downs as there are suprises. Why cant you just admit rankings leave lots of kids underappreciated and considered diamonds in the rough, thats where you find the kids who are good fits for our program right now until we can consistantly win 10 games in a season and establish ourselves.

Rankings are not perfect by any means but they matter and its up to the coach to talk to the player to see if HE believes that ranking is credible and if the kid matches character wise.

WVU has always recruited good in Florida but usually the other side of the state, and more recently in Miramar High school. (Geno Smith, Steman Bailey, and Ivan McCartney)

Our only real recruit these year from Tampa area I believe is Schyler Miles, as a LBer, because the Florida offer was for FB, and Kansas was of Weiss. Who is expected to sign with WVU.

T'ion Green did not visit since we accepted Clayton out of Homestead, therefore its USF and Cincy who he is still committed to. Grades may be issue.

One you guys also should end up with is Kameron Davis - OT from Ft. Lauderdale. We are probably only going to take 1 more HS OT - and right now it looks like it is Adam Pankey a current Pitt commit.

WVU are recruiting quality kids in a bunch of positions, filling lack of depth from Stewarts reign. Per rivals we may not end up in top 25 but the average over these kids will be above 3 and a few of the lower kids where EE's that count towards 2011 recruiting numbers in scholarship terms.

Recruting at USF will get better with wins on the field, that is why UCF is recruiting well (and possibly some cash).

UCF is recruting well.... WTF...????? All they got this year was a bunch of scrubs. Not a really talented kid in the bunch. they only had 6 recruits committed 2 weeks before NSD and then they went out and signed kids that no one else had offered just to fill the class. JVWVU you really don't know what you are talking about. Please go back and chat with the hillbillies. Here's What O'Leary had to say about his class.

.. all these 4 & 5-star guys [end up] working somewhere at McDonald's." -- George O'Leary #UCF
