A bit of a risk with such an old coach, albeit Larry Brown?

ummm, if Larry Brown comes back to the college ranks he is going to a top program, not USF.

I dont care if we offered him the most money.

Larry Brown is high maintenance, he requires a great deal of attention.  He is all about Armani suits, prestige, media attention, etc.  All things USF cannot offer.  No chance.

but yea Id take him in a heartbeat

No top program is going to higher a guy in his 70's.

USF would likely be one of his better options (assuming we were looking, which we're not).

They would hire him if its Larry Brown, who just so happens to have an ncaa championship ring, experience coaching and developing nba talent, has the swagger of a young Jay Wright, name larger in basketball than most top programs, all the appeal in the world.

If he isnt coaching college ball its because he doesnt want to.  Someone will offer him if hes interested.

and youre right we arent looking because Woolard is asleep at the wheel.  I think Vega said that, so true.

70 isnt that old fellas, guys looks like hes 60 maybe.  Not like anyone would hire him expecting him to coach for 15 years.  If its 10, thats doable.

We would be lucky if we got him.  BUt usf fans are all the same, they will argue a coach like bobby Huggins will be a bad move but the safe (losing) coach like Heath is a good one.  delusional

actually arguing the pros and cons of hiring Larry Brown to coach at usf is delusional in it self

Discussion of Larry Brown coming to USF and coaching the USF basketball team doesn't involve USF sports. It should be moved!!

Oh wait, it already has. :)

Yeah, he wouldnt come here. This is more far-fetched than Gruden coaching the football team  ::)

Agreed. Let's see if Brown even toys with the media a little bit and our school's name gets thrown into the speculation.
