Great minds think alike! (or did you just steal my idea and run with it??)

Either way, you have the bigger audience, hope it gets some traction.

Very much the former. One of our guys live in Ft. Worth and he saw the news break and was able to piece it together early this morning.

Love this idea. Start the conference rivalry a year early and get another marquee home game for 2011

The reason I picked UTEP instead of Ball State is because USF owes the Cardinals a visit to Muncie in 2012. I'd rather get those two games out of the way, instead of punting them down the road to a time when you'll have fewer OOC games to fill, or even worse, having to buy them out. I didn't want to have to cancel a game to make this work.

UTEP is a guarantee game for us, and as I wrote in the blog, there are a lot of advantages for the Miners playing a road game in-state instead of coming all the way to Tampa. It improves USF's schedule, it improves UTEP's schedule, it gets TCU out of a jam, and it saves/earns everyone money.
