If LSU offers Petrino the job, he'll take it. If LSU goes a different direction -- Oklahoma State's Les Miles being the other top option -- it would not be a shock to see Louisville take the extraordinary step of divorcing itself from one of the hottest coaches in the country.

Gonna have to forward this to my contact.  Maybe LSU can get a better deal for him than we thought... ;)

Watching how bad a coaching job Petrino is doing in the Liberty Bowl, LSU can have him. lol. Seriously, trying to use a fake punt with about 2min left back on your own 20 yard line was a bonehead call. I am thinking Petrino is overrated after watching some of his play calling.  I bet LSU is keeping a close eye on this game which is why they did not offer him the job. Petrino may be heading to 0-2 in bowl games with loses to Miami (OH) and Boise St. Loved how the fans at the Liberty Bowl started chanting L! S! U! after Boise St scored before the half.

LSU didn't offer him a job yet because the initial meeting was simply to see if Petrino was interested in leaving Louisville.  Petrino said he would be interested in the position, but requested to wait until after the bowl game to begin discussions.

He did make some boneheaded plays, but the LSU fans I watched the game with felt he was playing "gutsy"...

Petrino pulls his name out of the running for the LSU job. Looks like LSU will go after OK St coach or Jon Gruden from BUCS.

After the past 2 seasons, I seriously doubt that's still the case.

The Bucs have to be wondering if it was worth all those first & second round picks to get Gruden in the first place. They sold away the future to grab the brass ring for one year.

You are the one who also thinks NFL teams will be lining up for Pete Carroll, despite his horrendous performance with the Patriots.

Stick to predicting other things, like politics... no wait, like baseball... no wait... like, steroid use... no, not that either, I guess... how about.... like.... well, I'm sure you'll find something you're accurate at predicting one of these days.

And it worked. Don't knock it.
