Looking sharp... also they have NFL like seats which is something that we could do in our OCS when ever the hell we choose to build it.

Bad timing to expand. That stadium could be real empty by the time we get there in November.

It will not be totally empty, they have 44,000 season tickets sold and have 5500 for visiting teams, so how about you all coming up for a visit.  There are also large blocks of seats being held for recruits and VIP types.

I've heard their season tickets are in the low 30,000 range right now. Not sure if they factor in students to inflate the number to 44,000, but this wasn't the right time to expand. 3 or 4 years ago yes, but not in the state of flux that they are in right now.

It says they've sold a little over 40,000 in the article.

Just getting rid of Kragthorpe probably boosted their ticket sales. They're very excited about Charlie Strong and probably people remember how hard it was to get a ticket during the Petrino years and want to lock in now so they don't get left behind the next time.

Sure doesnt seem like the wrong time to expand with 40k season tickets sold.  How many has USF sold?

Completely different situations.... it's not like there's much else to do in Louisville sports wise...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
