Wilder is completely off the market now, after committing to FSU this afternoon.

Seems that way.

Meanwhile, his teammate Posada was wearing a USF shirt today at the school after giving a verbal to Michigan last week. So, you never really know up until signing day.

Wow. Was that confirmed or just a rumor?  That makes zero sense to me after what he said about USF the day before committing to Michigan.

I know he said we were really never in the running. .. but didn't he also say we were his top in-state choice? Maybe there's a small glimmer of hope ...  ;)

Oh, we were in his top 2. It was USF and Michigan.  Then all of a sudden the night before his commitment announcement, he tells the media that USF is no longer even in the running. Its Michigan or TX Tech. When asked why he dropped USF at the last minute he said something to the effect that there was a bad environment at USF and he didn't want to be a part of it.

No one has any clue where that came from or what he is referring to.  This was said when the team was in Vero having what from all accounts appeared to be a very cohesive team building atmosphere going on.

Weird.  ???

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
