Times: Former RB Ben Williams training to be a cop

Recommended Posts

Ben needs to focus on the 25 meter targets.  He's not out of boot camp yet, and he's already talking SWAT and being a Major.

He was pretty dang good for a walk-on.

I hate to diminish his role on the team but the old regime put him into too big of a role, either that or they flat out couldn't recruit, pure and simple.

He is training for a tough job that does not pay enough for the risks associated with the job.

The "I want public services but I do not want to pay for anything" crowd will ensure that police, fire people, and teachers continue to receive substandard pay.

Good luck to Ben Williams.  Stay safe out there if you get a patrol duty assignment.

He stated his future goals and plans.

There is nothing wrong with stating a desire to join the SWAT team and work his way up the ranks of the force.  It indicates that he has goals in life.

Would you rather he say that he just wants to camp out at a desk job, eat dougnuts all day long, work for 20+ years until he qualifies for a pension, and then retire early with a lackluster career in the police force?

::)  ::)  ::)

awesome.  Welcome to the job.  He sounds like he still brings the right attitude to anything he does.
