Is it common for someone to work for a newspaper for over 20 years and never become a salaried employee?

Absolutely. For one thing, print journalism is a notoriously low-paying field. For another, like most industries, the salaried positions tend to be the management positions, in this case the editors — there are probably a few high-profile newspaper columnists who are salaried, but beyond that virtually any newspaper reporter is paid an hourly rate.

i really dont see why it got moved in the first place.  obviously mcmurphy has some significance to USF. 

its the off season for football and our basketball team doesnt play till Saturday night. 

not a whole lot going on in the main board for this to sit there for a few hours...
