This has been the rumor since like Monday/Tuesday.  I'll believe it when I see it.  Still hoping for Bowden, but will be satisfied with Holtz (over magee, williams, etc...)

That all sounds like speculation to me.  Big time football coaches have big time egos and they DO NOT like to be told who their assistants can or cannot be.  Unless USF gives up the demand of retaining all or most of the current assistants, Holtz will take a pass.  It's not like he won't have bigger and better opportunities in the near future that will be on his terms.

on another board, somebody said they gave up on that demand.
