The point is that you are killing a dead horse with your  comments that USF is getting laughed at by the national media. That should not bother you as we have been getting laughed at since day 1 by the national media. It is one of the reasons why USF has a lot of sensitive and pashionate fans for such a young program. In the long run, USF will be fine and the media knows that.  USF is going to continue to get talked down by the media, so there really is nothing we can do but start winning more games. Cant sit here and cry about it.

the problem is USF has developed a culture of underachievement, disappointment and lack of discipline.

the midseason collapses and humiliating losses have become our M.O.  it is psychological now. as soon as we hit #2 and gained national attention, we immediately plummeted off a cliff and have pretty much continued plummeting, grasping at the occasional Jayhawk or Seminole or trusty Mountaineer vine poking out of the sheer face of the cliff which slow but never stop our descent.

throw in a coach who, all McMurphy-embellished rumors aside, is prone to acting like a complete loon on the sidelines and who has fostered a tepid rappore with the media local or otherwise, and what you get is a mediocre team that can\\\'t live up to its athletic potential for a complete season.

i personally feel it`s time for a facelift.  something or someone that can bring excitement to this program and break the cycle of mediocrity that has become a self-fulfilling and self-expected prophecy.

does anyone HONESTLY expect a much better result next season?  a BE title?  a 10-win season?  any drastic improvement in the team`s performance?  come October EVERYONE will be talking about the potential collapse, we`ll drop a couple games and the team will phone it in the rest of the season.

there just aren`t enough headbutts to go around anymore.

No we haven't been getting laughed at since day 1.  Early on, we were much respect for our quick ascension through the ranks of cfb.  it is only during the pas 3-4 months that we've really been taking our lumps.  The thing that makes me saddest is that a lot of it is accurate.
