I had a friend tell me you can still cross via land w/o passport and I am too lazy to look it up at this point since there is only a 37% chance I am going.But if it is true, it may help others. The card is only good for sea and air travel while the passport book is good for all.From the US Travel Site:As of June 1, 2009 all U.S. citizens returning from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean via land or sea borders must provide a US Passport Card or US Passport. Previously, individuals crossing land or sea borders in the United States could show a drivers license and birth certificate; however, after June 1, 2009 only government approved documentation is accepted.
