Although this looks like a good thing you have to look at the facts behind the numbers:

Just compare the 2008 and 2009 home schedules and you can understand why there was a 10% increase. The question is home much of a decrease will there be in 2010.

2008

Tennessee-Martin

Kansas (Friday Night ESPN)

Pittsburgh

Syracuse (Homecoming)

Rutgers

UConn (Sunday Night ESPN)

2009

Wofford

Charleston "Chewy" Southern

Cincinnati (Thursday Night ESPN)

West Virginia (Friday Night ESPN)

Louisville (Homecoming)

Miami (ABC Regional)

2010

Stony Brook (???)

Western Kentucky

FAU

Pittsburgh

Syracuse

Rutgers

UConn

Do not be surprised if there is a drop off in season tickets and attendance during the 2010 season. The only difference is that USF will more than likely not be undefeated going into October with a trip to "The Swamp" scheduled for 9/11/2010.

And if USF is undefeated going into October you can expect 60k+ - just the way sports in Tampa (and many other cities) works.

I guess you didn't ready that article because if you did you would've seen Greg already pointed that out.
