Volleyball Loses in C-USA Tourny

I know that it is not a big sport at USF but Claire is going to take this team to the next level in the next few years...With everyone returning next season, we will definetly be better and all we really need is a 6-2 middle blocker to go along with Racheal right now and we will be much improved.

I think more than a blocker they need an Michele-Type hitter (though, granted, those aren't growing on trees).  Rachel and Kristina are both freshman who will increase their vertical and instinct for the game, I think that'll be OK.  Michelle Stalbaum is super athletic and plays very hard, but I don't know if she's consistent enough to be someone you can set in a pressure situation and know you'll get a kill out of her.  There's certainly a role for her, but I don't know if she's your go-to player.  Put one big hitter on this team next year, and they defend so well that they could make a post-season run.  The 2002 team wasn't that big up front either, and they were a non-called lift in Game 1 against UF from the Sweet 16.  

Hey!  Someone else cares about volleyball!  Next thing you know we'll actually get a thread going on soccer (don't I wish)!

yeah... but those are older chicks getting drunk between games at the Undertow Beach Bar on St. Pete Beach on the weekend. Beach volleyball isn't big in Tampa unfortunately.
