  1. Cleveland is a great pitcher, great 3rd baseman, and basically an all-around good player...Ive known him from his days at TC and was a our #1 starter on our baseball team and played 3rd, SS, and 2nd when not pitching...Definetely a plus for our squad
  2. I have been to about 80 softball games and 100 baseball games since Ive been going to USF and both stadiums are not the best from a fan's viewing point of view. I say softball gets a new stadium first because the field itself is not very good while the field at the Red is actually pretty good...1000 seat stadium would be more than enough for softball because Ive only seen more than 300 people at a game that Ive been at and that was Notre Dame this season....I know athletics will get it done and once completed, they will look great
  3. UCLA is a very dominant team....Saw them earlier this season on ESPN2 as they took on Texas, who is also a very dominant team, and ended up winning 8-7 on a walk-off homerrun in the 7th....Texas pitcher Cat Osterman, who only has a .42 ERA gave up all 7....UCLA has a very potent offense but I believe that we can score some runs on them so if Bree and Christi can pitch well, I think we can have a chance....But UCLA is a very dangerous team but if anyone can do it, a team led by Coach Eriksen can get it done
  4. Great game guys.....I know that West Virgina was a very good offensive team and it looks like Casey is starting to find his groove.....Get in the tourny with Casey pitching the way he is and you never know
  5. Huey was on the practice squad all year this year so that is where he was called up from....I am a Storm season ticket holder and the position he plays is currently occupied by one of the best players in the history of the league, Lawrence Samuels....There is speculation that Lawrence might be retiring so if he does, look for Huey to jump right in the WR/LB position and if not, he will be number 2 next season as the Storm are not happy with Ronny Daniels who backs up Samuels
  6. I don't mind PJ starting because he seems to be more focused this offseason than he was last offseason....As long as Rod keeps it simple, he can be successful
  7. We are definetely going to miss Chappy and Krista next season but I think Britta Giddons can move to short and with as good as Eriksen is at recruiting, I would not be surprised to see no dropoff next season....And Ecks is amazing with amazing stuff....Team her with Bree and we have the best pitching tandem in the conference and maybe top 10 in the nation I believe bc all the big schools only have 1 dominant pitcher....This team just might make it to Oklahoma City this year
  8. I honestly would not be surprised to see PJ starting at the beginning of the season with Grothe as the backup
  9. This team is struggling a lot hopefully they can have a successful week and get into the Conference Tournament where anything can happen
  10. We play Rutgers tommorow, not DePaul....These girls are playing fantastic softball right now and are a lot of fun to watch
  11. I know the coaching staff very well and I know for a fact that Jose and Harry got along very well and worked even better together. My best guess is Harry will become a Head Coach somewhere next season and will do very well because he is that good. While his recruiting skills will be missed, I believe that Coach Osterman is a very good recruiter and can pick up where Harry left off and whoever Jose brings in will continue to help this team become a nationally recognized program!
  12. I agree with MatRat about Tiffany Stewart but I also think that Sammy Ray is going to be a big loss but in my opinion the biggest loss will be Chappy
  13. Vermont was actually a lot better than their record indicates....They could flat out hit the ball. The homerun that Brault hit for them was a shot to straight away center. The baseball team is finally starting to hit collectively and I think Eddie has settled on a very good weekend starting rotation and I think this team will be fine and will make the regional tournament even after the slow start
  14. I sit 7 rows behind the Storm bench and Gramattica always flashes the Bull sign everytime he makes an extra point or field goal
  15. Yes but you also have to look at who these teams are losing...I also know the talent Mac has next season with Howard, Gransberry, Williams, Curry, and Vadejo is way more talent than he has had since he has been here....Here are my conference wins next season: Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Seton Hall (2), West Virgina, and I think we might beat either Lousiville or Syracuse at home I posted under the wrong name my bad
  16. I really believe that with a healthy Chris Howard at the point, Kentrell Gransberry and Aris Williams in the post, Dante Curry on the wing and a lot of players returning I do not see any reason why this team does not win at least 5 games next season....As long as this team stays healthy, they will definetely win at least 5 games next season and might contend for an NIT spot
  17. I know I do research and that on conference games but it is hard when only a couple students know what is going on and really care about being there....I like some of the stuff we are doing now and I think as the team starts winning and we start building this stuff again, the Sun Dome will once again be a tough place to play
  18. Very well pitched game on both sides yesterday and today with the wind blowing out, runs were easier to come by....Bulls did a good job of playing small day today as well
  19. Ill defend him to...He came to speak at our last general meeting and I have never seen him as fired up and confident about his squad like he is this year....I look for good things from him
  20. Get well soon Matt.....At least he should be back before we get into the meat of the schedule
  21. I have to once again complain about the lack of support that the women's basketball team is receiving this year....There were 578 people there last night and I highly doubt there were that many....This team is very good and needs and deserves plenty of support...I don't know what needs to be done to get more support but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know....Im not asking for 5,000 fans a game but 1,500 would be great and very doable I think
  22. I agree, this is a game we should win and I think we will win
  23. Everyone needs to come out tonight and support the Bulls as they take on Villanova tonight at 7:00. We need a big loud crowd tonight to help the home team...Villanova is a very good team that shoots a lot of threes and it will be a tough matchup
