If WVU beats UCONN next week, USF would play 4 top 25 teams during the past 5 games. FSU, CINCY, PITT, and WVU. Not bad for a schedule when you think about it. Miami has a good chance at staying ranked by the time we play them which would make it 5 ranked teams out to the 12 games USF has played. What was the most top 25 teams USF has played in one year??

I can only find the 2005 season with 3 (#9/8L'ville, @10/9Miami & #12WVU), the 2006 season with 3 (#23Rutgers, @#10/12L'ville & #7WVU) and this season with 3 (@#18/25FSU, #8/9Cincy & @#20/19 Pitt so far).

Unless you want to count 1999 with four ranked teams (@#5 Troy St, #6 Illinois St, @#10 James Madison & #6 Hofstra {which is USF last loss to a I-AA team}). USF was also ranked #23 to start the season and finished #23 after climbing as high as #15 and only as low as #25.
