That's fine.  I want a good Memphis team when they come here.  It will make our win look sweeter! ;D

We're playing for W's and bowl eligibility right now.  This wont get us ranked either way, so all that is left to care about is putting up enough of those W's to get the bowl game.

What a stupid thing to say.  Memphis is an established 1A team.  We're still relatively new to this.  They haven't passed us, we haveen't caught up yet.

I disagree with this, you can only use the "we're still a new team" just so long.  We've beaten Army, Southern Miss, Louisville and Memphis.  Memphis will be favored when they come here and we've already dropped to teams we've beaten in previous seasons.  Its not they got that much better (maybe louisville) but I think we've just gotten worse.  Whether or not we have good reasons for it, I don't know, that can be debated but I still say we're a shakey team right now that is not as solid as it has been in the past.

Either way, Memphis hasn't "passed us by".  I believe we are on par with Memphis.
