This is the actual quote by CJL:

David Bedford is much better this year then he was last year, much, much better.

The kid was lost last year, with a year under his belt we should expect at least average production from Bedford.

He is the prime example why they need to RS JPP. Bedford took alot a summer classes and was lost when he came in I see the same happening with JPP. Hope I'm wrong.

yea but there isnt a whole lot to learn in true pass rush situations.  if they just use JPP on passing downs where his only job is to beat the OL and put pressure on the QB there isnt much else to learn to be "lost" on

Patrick Hampton played RE on the first line at the last scrimmage.

He got a little overhyped, some article called him a Selvie duplicate... definitely wasn't.

When you're taken 20 or so college credits over a summer, you just cant come in right away and make an impact.

Too much was expected of him.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
