Did anyone read in the St pete times that a QB that originally committed to us just decommitted? Does anyone know anything about this guy? What this program needs is a top flight QB that can take us into the big east.

it's posted on the "State of Florida" board and the recruiting board.  Carlton Hill removed his verbal.  Rivals has him listed as an athlete.  USF wanted him as a qb.  I'm not sure many other schools will play him at QB.

Once again the lure of greener pastures takes another one away.....  He will go to UM and sit...sit...sit...and then go down the road of obscurity.... How's that Ingram guy doing at UF?

decommitting doesn't mean much at this point... he still may recommit, or he might go elsewhere... who knows.

oh well, I'd much rather have someone that WANTS to come to USF (Grothe) than someone that settles on USF.  Look at guys like Andre Hall this year.  He had many other offers but WANTED to come to USF and look what kind of leader he has become!  I'll take a project player that is excited about coming to USF over a "star" settling on USF anyday

It's a long way to Feb.

I am really excited about Grothe ... expect him to start next season ... this kid is football smart and looks great at QB.

A True QB !!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
