i just logged on and an AARP ad popped up

You and I are the same age and up until last week I resisted AARP membership.  The turning point?  I bought new eyeglasses before I signed up and was told that instead 560 dollars I could have had them for 389 dollars if I had been a member.  My wife gave me the hairy eyeball and we signed up that night.

I used to be the boss around here.  Like Bill Cosby said, "I don't know when I lost it.  I'm not sure I ever had it..."

Be prepared to get a lot of junk mail trying to sell you all types of insurance.  I believe that's the main purpose of the AARP.
