I had shoulder surgery from an injury during practice. I had no medical insurance beside the VA... and guess what... all $11K of the surgery was paid courtesy of USF athletics. I took the bills to our athletic trainer Steve Walz, and I never saw them or heard about them again. What gives here? Can anyone explain?

All I can figure is something to do with the size of school, but I know D2 schools take care of all injuries ... curious of an answer also.

Stay strong Drew.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
