I realize that this is a college venue and John Madden is a pro football announcer but I believe that a moment should be spent addressing the retirement of a great. John Madden taught a lot of us about football explaining why certain plays worked or did not work. He made football easy to understand. He will be missed and whomever replaces him has huge shoes to fill. I don't think anyone will ever get it done like he did.

i have spent so much time whining about how awful an announcer he is... but only now when he retires you realize what hes meant tot he game.
